If you count it up must be nearing 100 million income with season ticket money and champions League money and Jota transfer and only spent less than 15 million.
I won't say anything critical till the transfer window closes but as you say we need to get the finger out and want to see 5 quality signings in the 5 million plus bracket coming in .

This thread almost to a member saying the say thing, wanting the same positions sorted. Today just highlighted it further. Certain offers are too good to turn down, which I get, but overall after 2 months of the window, we are weaker in general. Especially if Stafelt goes. It's a bizarre feeling the now. Feels like we're downsizing almost with absolutely no need to do so.

With a little over 3 weeks of the window left, we need to get a move on. Far too passive in the market. Need a couple in in the next 10days. First team starters only!!!!

 

I don't think we are downsizing.. Jota was money we couldn't and he couldn't refuse. Mooy retired, Starfelt wants away which I'm not that bothered about and by the looks of it Hatate will probably go because judging by his coupon the last few weeks he can't be arsed. Can't be helped really

Added to that most the signings we have made are looking like projects or squad players.

Still a few weeks left to go and no doubt we are working on new players and they will be happening. Its just disappointing we are leaving it so late and reminiscent of how we used to do business.

Aye we need players in to go straight into the starting lineup. Goalkeeper and left back are an absolute must. Holding midfielder as well I think. That’s three positions we should be pushing the boat out with if we really do have ambitions of trying to make an impact in Europe.

I don't believe we are intentionally downsizing, but however you dress it up, players wanting to leave, massive fees coming in, the quality we're signing folks with isn't the same. So if it isn't the same, then it kinda is downsizing, That's why I feel its bizarre (as stated above). We talk about strengthening from a position of strength...OK well do it.

I'm not buying there's time left nonsense. 2 months gone of the window. A little over three weeks to go. You want everyone in early as to train and integrate with the squad and managers methods. Granted that won't happen all the time, but you get your best in first generally.

Yes, new manager takes time etc...but BR was happy to accept 4 of the recommendations of previous scouting trips, I'm sure there were some higher quality players on that list as well.

That said, new signings need to be given a chance as well. This thread will be interesting come end of the month if we don't have a GK, LB in as a minimum.

 

think rodgers saying we brought players in early incase we lose players is gonna be the indicator of who else we were planning to sell. cb,2 x cm, 2wingers signed would suggest there is a cm and winger still to be sold .building from a position of strength ,what a joke more like a rebuild
