Not Actually that Crucial a Summer as of August 2023...beginning to now think everything isnt fine!

Quite a concerning performance.

Need at least 3 first team ready players in asap.

 

Aye it was a flat performance, lucky it was an abysmal team we were facing otherwise we drop points there.

I've been patient with our approach so far, but this has to be the last quiet week. We need to see some proper rumours and signings coming in.

GK, LW and LB at the absolute minimum, wouldn't say no to another midfielder and CB coming in but I think people need to leave first.

The lack of creativity was abundantly clear today outwith our striker dropping deep and making almost everything happen..

Was very flat and slow. We looked weak as well..

We need pace, power and some guile added to this side pronto..

The bare minimum starting positions we should be bringing in. We need more though..

Genuinely need four difference makers in those positions. Maeda was utterly horrible today , O'Riley lacks so much. Taylor we know we need for better. Hart the less said the better.

 

* * with Starfelt confirmed gone that's another one needed.

4 first team ready players is a must now and some actual competition (preferably replacement) for Taylor.

I don't have faith that we'll do it.

Then a box to box powerful CM on top of them if possible

 

Losing Mooy, Jota, Starfelt and Hart basically being done.. lot of experience potentially being ripped from our side..

 

Agree!! Surely it’s not asking too much with the money we have banked. Use January mainly to offload players aswell then

 

If it's our decision to let Starfelt go then it's a massive mistake. Aye he's prone to the odd howler but his partnership with CCV has been a huge factor in our success these past 2 years. Don't think he'll be easy to replace.

We need at least 4 big signings in less 4 weeks now.

 

I would be stunned if we don't bring in at least two within the next week. There is money to spend, time to spend it.

Was it lost on anyone else, Lawwell front and centre at the flag unveiling as well? He gives me the fear man.

 

I’m sure you’re right but really we shouldn’t be in a position where we ever have to depend on Tony in the bigger games/in Europe.

 

Regarding Lawwell he has been front and centre for a while now so someone who was meant to leave and now has come back seems very much back in control to me.

 

I'm worried.

 

Well that's the conspiracy theory we don't know if it's true but the money we have in the bank and the lack of quality first team signings is a concern and I think we need 5 quality signings in the 5 million plus in the next 3 weeks or Europe can be written off .

 

No being funny if Starfelt does go that means we need 3 or 4 quality players in a very short space of time in the football world.

I don't understand what we are doing?? Someone please make it make sense.

 

To make matters worse we sold our best winger over a month ago and still haven't bothered replacing him. Also, we must have known at the start of pre-season that Starfelt was potentially away and have neglected strengthening our defence properly in the event of that happening.

Then you have Hart in goal who looks completely finished, a LB who struggles in a traditional fullback system and a midfield that still looks soft as *. No sign of a new GK anywhere, not even a link to another LB and the only midfielder we've signed is a guy who was playing in Korea's second tier last season.

I've been vocal for weeks about the lacklustre nature of our window so far only to be told "be patient". It's hard to be patient when I see our team getting ripped apart while we continue to ignore the blatant weaknesses in our squad.

There's literally no excuse now not to go and sign 3 or 4 quality players. None.

 

Very poor window so far.

Dreadful when put into its proper context.

We're a long way off where we need to be.

 

Think it’s more concerns, I mean it felt like it was a new era when he left and since he has had come back he is very much involved in Everything by the looks of it.

I completely agree with you about needing extra quality, not just write off Europe we will struggle to compete in all fronts this season.

We are weaker than last season and we shouldn’t be after all the money we have.
