Am I misunderstanding something here? From what I've read on here, they don't usually attend this type of game as a group, but many of them (presumably a similar percentage to non GB/Bhoys fans who chose to go?) will have chosen to go anyway as individuals.

I genuinely don't understand why this isn't just their choice.

OK, if I am going to be a little argumentative (but in a spirit of knowing that I don't know much about these things so might easily be wrong), why should they have to attend any given match as an organised group? Genuine quesion. Isn't that like if some guy at work usually brings doughnuts every Friday, but occasionally decides to spend his money on something else and then some people get * off at him when he doesn't bring the doughnuts?

Unless someone can show me that their absence as a group really is a statement, in which case, it's still their choice to attend or not but frankly a bit childish.

Given that season ticket holders buying tickets tonight where given their own seat and the fact their entire section was empty it looks like it was more of an organised thing and let's be honest, it's not like it's the first time they've pulled some attention seeking pish like this is it.

Alternatively the individual GB person goes when all their mates also go and they do their usual GB stuff.

If they aren't banging drums and doing organised singing then just watching a football team isn't doing it for them, fair enough. They've shown plenty of support in the past and why shouldn't they show it on their own terms?

It's their choice, and if they are more into Pitch Perfect than what's on the pitch up to them. Not knocking the GB here, just each fan gets a different thing from going to the match.

Atmosphere second half sounded spot on, would love more of that this season and less talk about GB or the Bhoys. There's a whole stadium FFS. Not on them.

A lot of people that normally attend didn't attend tonight or at least didn't buy a ticket for their own seats. They just stand out more when they don't buy their tickets obviously.

Majority of people moaning probably didn't attend themselves anyway.

From what I can tell a lot of the people on here never buy tickets, but are still Celtic supporters.

So where would you draw the line on who can, and who can't have an opinion on the Celtic support within the stadium?

Surely nothings out of bounds? Just needs to be backed up with facts?

This is an absolute embarrassment. But not the first. One of the only displays I agreed with, they couldn’t even spell ‘bloodstained’ right, the * delinquents.

If you ever needed proof that the views of organised fan groups don’t align with the ‘normal’ supporter, then it’s this.

Making a supposed statement in one of our most decorated players testimonials. Congratulations.

About 80 of these clowns attacked an old man Hun pub, and got chased away off of three of the old Staunchmen.

They done a marathon round Hampden, running away from young Staunchmen. Literally wee Huns about 14-15 years old, and grown men from this Green Brigade ran away, despite them starting the disturbance.

That’s only the ones getting caught on camera.

They constantly start * in known Hun pubs and get leathered or chased away, on non Hun match days. Hilariously embarrassing.

These dafties do not represent normal Celtic fans.

These wee whoppers would run away from you in a foreign country and leave you for dead. In a heartbeat.

I get a wee bit sick of their grandstanding. The tifos are good and that but it feels like every other game there's a protest or a banner about something or other that disnae really matter. Boycotting a testimonial is just disrespectful to the player, wrong way to send your message, whatever the * it is.

And unrelated, but I do sometimes miss the organic way that songs used to come about at Parkhead. It's now a bit like at mass when they've got the hymn numbers up on the wall, except every hymn's some butchered neddy dance tune from the 90s.

The absolute state of this *.

Justifying a boycott of one of our most successful players.

No doubt one of many who got chased out of the Toby Jug from three Huns in their early 70s.

Bams. Every last one of them.

Take it you stood firm in the the Toby Jug last stand?

What's the reference there? Actually watched the Boa Vista semi final in the "Jug" as had a 20/30 people I worked with out with me on that night, none of them celtic supporters, and that was the only place we could get into as a group. Like most pubs in Glasgow staff where fine.

    Great night :60:

I just think insullting a group of fans(not everyone is doing this) for not attending one game when they've spent 700 quid on season ticket during a cost of living crisis is a bit daft.

There was many empty seats tonight and people that don't have season tickets had a chance to attend. I know a lot of people in my section didn't buy tickets for whatever reason
