I'd still rather punt or loan out..

We desperately need a quality left back who can do both jobs offensively and defensively. He just can't..

 

I'd be loaning him out with the request he's played at LW instead of LB.

He won't make it here as a LB.

 

He’s never a left fullback, would be interesting to see him at wingback. Possibly winger too. He is worth trying there if we are keeping him about.

The best way to describe him is chaos, if we keep it close to the opposition box or breaking on a counter then it tends to be good. Defensively it is bad chaos as people go by him like he’s not there.

 

Might have something to give as a reserve LW, but he’s only a defender in an emergency situation tbh. Best of luck to him though.

As others have said, he is more of a wing-back than a full-back. I can see why he was brought into Ange's side as he fits well within that system. However, I think playing with full-backs that come forward is in fact even more demanding of them as defenders and he just doesn't stack up in that area. Can see him doing great against diddy SPFL sides, would not be confident fielding him in a competitive European game.

 

Nothing will ever convince he is a left back he actually looks half decent going forward as well

 

I do get-and agree-with what people say about him as a LB defensively but against SPL dross, we should get away with him, as he wont have much defending to do and offers quite a bit of energy going forward.

 

I'd be interested to see him as a wingback on one side and Maeda on the other.

 

We should 100% be looking to improve on both him and Taylor, however if we don't manage that this window i do suspect he'll surprise a few over the course of the year.

 

I thought Lanus had converted him from a LW to a LB. Seems to me it’s a project that needs binned.

 

Either way he'd probably cost us more goals than anything positive going forward.
A couple of goals doesn't change my mind that easily. Better off elsewhere for me.

 

From the start he's never looked like a LB, he might have the tools to do a job as a LM/LW but has he really shown he's good enough at that to displace any of our current wide options? Keeping in mind we could well still sign anouther LW, just don't see him having a place here long term unless there's a huge jump in his development under Rodgers.

 

I'm not his biggest fan. Think he'd do better as a winger than a wing back.

Took his goal well yesterday though.

 

He has a really good cross on him. That ball into Yang last night was class, and there were a couple of cross field balls that were also really good.

I think he’d be a good winger.
