    I think we just wanted to see a marquee signing come in early on in the window as a statement of intent, especially once Ange and Jota left.

    If it needs to be in the later stages of the window then so be it.

    I wouldn't say it panicking to be concerned about our signings. The ones we've made may come good but i think we were all expecting us to invest in some ready made 1st team players with the CL money and the money we've made from Jota.

    I said we should we striving to sign someone who's better than Kyogo otherwise we are standing still, was my meaning.

    We should always look to.improve upon even our best players. Even kyogo.

    Every club does it. That's not to say we WILL find someone or need to, but we should and will be always looking for players.

    So it's not "nonsense talk". We had no idea who he was 24 months ago, there's nothing to suggest we can get.players.of similar calibre in future.

    I agree mate, to remain successful you always have to strive for better, whether you get it or not, that has to be the intention.

    As a club we can never rest on our laurels.

    Yeah totally.

    That was my meaning. Barring maybe someone like Larsson in the past who is irreplaceable.

    He's our best player and I love him but if anything he's an example of what we can get if we scout well and get in there ahead of other clubs.

    These players are rare but also if we don't continually look we will miss the boat.

    Anyway. I think we will get 3-4 players in August.

    Couple early in the month and a couple later as bigger clubs are letting guys go.

    Although not a huge fan of it as a market, fully expect at least a couple EPL players.
