Didn't work in the COVID season when we got our two games suspended and we're constantly 6 points behind and when they played first even 9 points behind.
So we were under pressure for every game and they were under no pressure a massive advantage and * that doing it again but we will probably have to if we have so many players away in January.

serial losers and a supporter base full of vermin. * even giving them the time of day never mind creating hypothetical scenarios about their advantages over us. They are forever in our shadow

They’re pretty much the only team we compete against for everything we compete in, of course people are going to be interested in the business they’re doing, it’s a 2 horse race.

I WILL ALWAYS worry about their business.

A: it's my nature as a glass half empty, doomsday prophesizing , beligerant asehole.

B: they're our main competition domestically. Their signings could directly impact OUR domestic success.

In saying that, their signings since that flabby * took over have been largely overhyped. Danillo could be a smart bit of business for them. If he is indeed what they hope him to be, ie. A 20-30 goal a season striker, than that's the difference whether WE have a challenge and an actual title race on our hands.
Morelarse was the only reason they were in touching distance of us for years, Danillo has been signed to rectify that loss.

So yes, we should be aware of what they do imo.

I'll ask you in here as well seeing as you are spreading your doom and gloom all over the forum as per.

Who that they have bought would replace who in our team right now?

I'll save you the bother, you don't know because the season hasn't * started.

We are the treble winners, we've lost one nailed on starter from last season, we've brought in some promising players who may or may not be instant sensations.

They've brought in some players who NEED to be instant sensations because they are team of losers who have lost their best players who were also losers.

Why is our business projects and punts and theirs are first team ready. I'll tell you that as well. Because their players NEED to be first team ready because they don't have anyone else.

All this before we get to the fact there is still SIX WEEKS OF THE TRANSFER WINDOW TO GO.

    Give me * strength...

As soon as I see an alert saying @Sean Daleer "quoted your post" I know I'm in for a bollocking :56:

Tbf, on this occasion, I don't see your issue.

I said their signings have been overhyped. I know their manager is a pudgy Walter Mitty with zero tactical awareness, and I've stated multiple times that nothing is guaranteed with Danillo.

So in this instance, I'm not sure I deserve your usual finger wagging bollocking.
I mereley stated, imo, that we should be aware of what they do in the market, just as I believe we should familiarise ourselves with their team selections and tactical approach.

I sincerely don't understand all this " who cares what they do patter".

If our manager , coaches and players had the attitude of half the "calm your knickers" brigade in here we'd be walking into Glasgow derbies without a single iota of who were actually playing.

It's just this nonsense that they're signing "plers" and we're signing "projects"

No one knows how any of ours or their signings will pan out until the action starts.

I honestly don't understand where the panic is coming from.

We have more than enough for the start of the season and I'm sure some more will be in the door soon. Players that will be European level. I just think people need to relax.

The players they buy it seems no one else wants them. The players we are hopefully going after have more choices and will want to weigh up their options.

    That's what I think anyway.

And that wasn't a bollocking ya big blouse. That's tame by my standards and positively Buddhist by yours :giggle1:

    Agreed.

Most of the "fear" comes from the perception of our signings as opposed to the perception of theirs.

And as much as I want to see a real signing that will signal ambition and intent, I certainly don't want us running into the market and spunking 10m on a name who isn't worth it, neither do I want to see our wage structure being broken to sign some overpaid epl diddy.

My personal frustration comes from Rodgers tbh.

I sincerely thought he'd arrive with at least an idea of the market we shop in, and targets to pull the trigger on.
The wait has been infuriating, and if he claims he's watched every Celtic game since he left, he shouldn't need all these weeks to evaluate the current squad.
A * monkey can see what we need to push on.

But as you say, it may be just a factor that we ARE indeed shopping from a higher shelf, and not the bargain bin, which takes more time to get targets over the line given they'll likely have multiple options.

    Fingers crossed

There is just a different mindset at Celtic, we have focused on signing players for the future with the intent to develop and sell for profit. Its a business strategy that works and will always give us a edge over the huns for years to come.

They are pushing for first team ready players with the intent to qualify for the champs league and take top stop for next seasons new improved version.

We have already qualified, means we can slow down and focus on getting the right ones in. Gives Brendan more time to access the squad and work out how best to spend.

This is me hoping though, if by the end of the deadline we haven't signed quality first team starters then I will be worried and feel very let down by the board.

Lol, got to agree with you here. The flip side of the argument that these players will be off to the Asian Cup, when our players came back from the World Cup they were on fire.

If anything, I see it as a big big advantage to have these players go away and build even better form.

Re worried about the huns? They should not be a concern, we dwarf them financially. If we are managed correctly we should always be ahead of them.

I haven't a clue about any of their signings but I noticed the boy they've just signed looks tiny so are they going to change how they play or are they going 2 up top with him playing off a big guy but the 1 thing they need most is defenders and so far they've signed none..if they don't sort that they'll be opened up for fun. Obviously I don't know much about our signings either but we've brought in a CB for 5 million so we've strengthened that area and 1 thing I know we'll get from the Korean boys is workrate and hopefully their technical ability can match it. I still think we'll also push the boat out on a top midfielder.

He's 5ft 9 but quite stocky. Morelos esque if he was fit.

The rest of the players they've signed are 6ft +.

    ANYWAY. Back to celtic.

We shouldn't be looking for someone who's coming in as 4th choice though.

We should be looking for someone who is better than Kyogo. We need to continually try and improve.

I've not seen a lot of Oh but tbh I'm convinced we could find better.

I'd definitely like another striker tbh and if he happens to knock Oh and Maeda out the way then great.

You obviously don't know @Sean Daleer mate.

The myth states that he eats nothing but bacon, and drinks nothing but white lightning cider.

He lives in a cave off the coast of the Ilse of white, which is decorated with the skulls of "itk" posters from kerrydale street, and people who take up two seats on a bus for their bag.

It's rumoured he also has access to a satellite death ray, which pings IP addresses of masquerading Huns on TC.
