The three guys we have for an option Kyogo, Oh and Maeda? Aye they’ll be at the Asian Cup.

 

Definitely need a LW as well, the minimum, for me, needs to be GK, LB and LW.

I think LB might be later in the window, but I think we'll sort the other two positions before the Aberdeen game. Hopefully sort one of them before the Ross County game.

 

There's no chance we're going in for another ST, convincing anybody that's even semi-decent to be fourth choice is a big ask.

We'll use someone like Abada or the new LW we bring in to play at ST.

 

Forgot about that. However it isn't until mid Jan and we're in winter shutdown until 29th, so if we get one game postponed we should be fine.
Or bring somebody in during the Jan window.

 

More chance we’ll get the games delayed I think, there’s a chance we’d have 7 players missing for the duration of the tournament, because it wouldn’t be a surprise if it was a South Korea/Japan final either.

But then it begs the question, when do we play the games, and what sort of catch up would we be playing.

 

I reckon Rodgers is wanting to see the new lads in training and a few games first before deciding where we need to strengthen.

We’ve actually only lost 2 main players and brought 5 in, obviously all are young and from different leagues but a few may surprise us. We may see a few out the door before anymore incoming.

It’s a * to be patient after all the rumour mills.

 

That’s why I’ve been generally relaxed this summer tbh mate, because Rodgers hadn’t took even a training session and people were screaming for movement. If we started spending proper money, without him seeing the team, I think I’d have been more concerned.

It’s set back the clock on our business firstly a new manager, secondly Jota leaving I don’t think anyone expected to unfold like it did.

And it’s not been no business either, we have 5 guys in through the door already. Changed days for us that us reacting slowly is signing 5 promising guys from untapped markets.

That alone should highlight just what the * sort of Impact Ange had on this club btw

 

I feel like had we kept Jota, there wouldn't be anywhere near the same panic.

You'd still have the general "Sign some * ffs" attitude, and that's fair, but it wouldn't be as bad.

Our most pressing position, by far, was CB, and we've got that done at the very least. I'm calm for now, but a wee rumour or two wouldn't go amiss. Would like another 2 signings in before the Aberdeen game.

 

Honestly mate, I know us well enough as fans that we’d still have hysteria but we just wouldn’t be able to add in that we’d just got a packet for a star player as well expectations would still be the same,

I’ve enough faith in Rodgers as a manager and as a squad that we have just now that we can handle waiting for when getting the guys in that could kick us on a level can happen. CCV and Jota loan originally was right late on wasn’t it? If not last day of the window if I remember right.

If we’re sure of getting guys that will improve us immensely, then we need to go for that rather than a lesser player to soothe the fans about movement that might not be good enough.

 

Said earlier but our last 2 augusts have had plenty of deals late in August. I'm guessing the huns quick manner with their signings aren't helping (albeit outside of Danilo, the majority of them wouldn't get near our side, and even he'd be on our bench) and the fact we had both January windows completed before January even began.

Just think we are hadicapping ourselves and I don't mind having a few Far East players but when your bringing in 6 or 7 with most away in January then we are handing the zombies to go 9 or 12 points clear if we postpone these games .

 

We will just cancel our games if they are away 3 call ups from our squad we are allowed to do that

Means we are playing catch up and give the huns a false sense of security.

 

We’ll be more than 9 points clear by that stage anyway.

 

We could easily offload 7 players from the squad just now which I’d say is a priority to free up some wages.

And then the fact 3 of Ange’s best signings came in on the final day of the transfer window 2021, we’ll just need to play the waiting and everyone should be prepared for that. Time to stay away from these threads for a while

 

- Bain is needed for CL homegrown rules I think. If both he and Siegrist are content to stay then that is good depth for us.

- Welsh may be moved on but I would prefer to keep him. Maybe loan Yuki back to Japan.

- Turnbull I think could improve massively under BR. He should stay if he will sign a new deal.

- Unless we bring in KT we shouldn't be getting rid of Bernabei....

- Mikey is highly rated by BR and out injured. He isn't going anywhere.

I think we do need to improve a few positions. Left wing particularly. KT might be one for later in the window if he doesn't get any joy at Arsenal. A central midfielder with a box to box style may be needed although again I can see BR improving O'Riley considerably.

 

Just means they will have a chance of closing the gap we will have on them at that time.
