Not Actually that Crucial a Summer as of August 2023...beginning to now think everything isnt fine!

That boy Doyle from city looks an alternative to the Swiss boys.

Get one of them along with Tete and maybe cheeky swoop for KT and I think people will be quite relaxed.

I'm not sure its worth spending all that money on KT for a loan when we could buy a good LB, but the fact KT has played in other positions along the backline in big games will be crucial.

I feel in my water that its a goer

 

We still lack physicality and pace in midfield, which I think is going to be a huge factor in Europe.

If we resolve that and sign a keeper, I’d be delighted. Selling some of the deadwood, signing a winger (Tete?) and ambitiously Tierney would be a near perfect window.

 

Aye I'd still like some pace and power in the middle..

Don't think we're gonna get a 6 and an 8/10 now though. Likely just one of them..

We need to shift plenty though. McCarthy. Soro. Could go on and on..

Same with Bernabei at left back and get someone of quality with pace (some physicality would be nice also) who can overlap for fun..

Then at least another versatile winger. I think we could do with a couple but at least one in of substantial quality..

A keeper..

 

I think GK, LB and LW are musts.

We need three players who can come straight into the team and improve it.

Would give us rotation options like Nawrocki (or Starfelt), Taylor, Iwata, Jun, Maeda, Tilio, Kwon…

Think centre mid is still a bit light. Got a lot of players there but in terms of real quality, after McGregor, Hatate and O’Riley, I think the drop off is huge.

 

After todays business I would like the below to happen and would feel 100% confident rather than 99% the now...

If we bring a keeper in then someone has to go. Can't have 4 keepers. Get Siegrist out the door..

 

Less than two weeks until kick off. Obviously the most important thing is to bring in the right players, but ffs Celtic get the effin finger out and bring the right players in quicker.

 

As it stands we have lost alot of goal contributions in jota, also lost giakoumakis before.

2 weeks to go til league starts surely we will bring in more quality.

Remember hearing a few times it wont be when we break our transfer record but by how many times, hopefully that materialises.

 

It does seem odd that all the singings are young, largely untested players.

Id expect a couple of senior players to come in, possibly with European or premier League experience.

We need a star signing like kyogo or Jota. Someone who's really going to drive us forward, rather than a few clips from YouTube on what we have gotten today.

 

Kyogo and Jota weren't exactly stars or well known before coming here.

 

Pace where? Mcgregor is quick, Hatate isnt a slouch. Granted O’Riley isnt blessed with pace, but i wouldnt say we are slow.

Maeda isnt exactly slow and neither is abada.

I dont think pace is a problem in our starting midfield.

 

Oh definitely mate, really need some players to go straight into the first team. Just don't think Kyogo or Jota were considered star signings at the time.

 

Iv said a few times but i think we are mad if we are not trying for Duk. A lot of our fans dont realise how good he could be for us.

 

Do we play with a 10 though mate? I dont see how a 10 fits into our system and not sure we could play a 10 in the same line up as O’Riley.

 

Jota was also a regular at Portugese youth levels and made the under 19 Euro team of the tournament. Maybe a relative unknown to our fans but would have been well known in Portugal and a player who had shown a lot of promise.

That much, alone, would be great. A box-to-box midfielder and a back-up striker would be a bonus.

I wonder if we’ll get a RB on loan or will Iwata deputise there?
