Only thing i’d add to that is a new CDM as in Europe we are weak in midfield

 

Rodgers is looking for his side to step up this weekend against Gamba Osaka – but he is also working in the background to bring in new recruits. Korean duo Yang Hyun-jun and Kwon Hyeok-kyu are expected to be finalised in the coming days.

The pace at which we're doing our business this Summer is excruciating. How long does Rodgers need to assess the squad? I thought he watched 'every game' last season or was that just him waffling?

We need a couple of massive weeks. But I forsee us dragging it out until the very end unfortunately.

I swear to * if we panic buy a couple of Abildgaard's again...

 

I currently have two fears, both entirely plausible, but one more likely.

We had targets in mind and were either unable to get them over the line, or discussions are very protracted. Ie. We're plan B for these targets.

The more likely status quo is that BR is full of * and didn't "watch every game" since he left. We ALL know what is needed in terms of additions, how an "elite level" manager needs more time to see is baffling.
It's highly likely he only looked for results, has decided to take the job, and is STILL running the rule over the squad as it stands; which in itself is worrying. Ange came in, knew how he wanted to play and signed the players to do so.

Even that wobbly fat * across the city is doing as much.

To me, it indicates there's no real plan to form an identity as if yet, and the tactical side of the approach is still being worked out, hence the lack of transfer movement.

Tired of hearing "plenty of time in the window", especially when the season kicks off in two * weeks.

 

Maybe the likes of reider, tete and Co ain't as easy to get and they're wedging their bets on a move and we're trying to wait it out and get them.

Guess it's a case of get target a and just try and wait it out.

If Rodgers was assessing squad in Portugal and then pretty much flown straight to Japan, you've got to think/hope that he'll be feeding back what he wants when we return from Japan. We should see alot of movement in and out next week onwards.

 

And if he was in any doubt watching the defence conceding 6 yesterday has surely convinced him.

He's came back to make a mark in europe, he's even talked about reaching euripa league final in Dublin.

There's no way we can do anything in europe with that defence other than yet more humiliation and from a personal point of view he knows his reputation can't withstand that again.

Would expect at least 2 brought in over next week or so.

Arguably outwith Johnston and CCV you could bin all of them as none are good enough.

 

Honestly don't know if Kwok is the main man for DM spot for CL but I'd be delighted if Souza is signed but probably not gonna happen.

Also the jury is out on the likes of Iwata, Taylor (as a conventional full back), Hart and the four guys we brought in, none of them seem like guaranteed starters.

I also think we may still lose at least one other first team player like Abada or O’Riley.

 

Still a lot of time left but 4 project signings and a rumour of a third choice centre back isn’t the inspiring window I thought it would be. Plus as stated above the squad is now bloated with guys who are nowhere near good enough. Hopefully see some genuine quality in the door for flag day

 

I haven’t been overly concerned about transfer activity until the last day or two.

I give it a week before the WhatsApp rumours are “Celtic somehow skint” and I won’t even argue with it until the club prove it wrong.

 

Definitely concerned. We need at least 4 big first-team ready signings to come in and we've barely had a sniff of any of them. I had thought at least Ferreira was a go-er for that LW spot but if Rodgers' comments are true then it's just agent talk.

If we reach the end of July and nothing's happened I think we'll be quite entitled to start asking serious questions.

 

I’m not concerned at all. You’d have to be delusional to think we won’t add more signings.
