Hart looks done, he looks slow and unsure of himself. Siegrist is abominable, streaks of Barkas today. Defensively positioning was a mess, losing headers in the box to players about 5 foot tall. I'm in no way taking this as an indication of where we're at but we need players at the back, it's pretty obvious.

It looks like Maeda has indeed been introduced to utilising a banjo and a cows * during close season. Long may that continue.

It should be taken seriously. The players should use it as an opportunity to lay a marker down for their place in the team. Especially under a new manager. To ship six goals in any game is a bit worrying.

I would agree that it doesnt serve as too much of an indicator as to how we will fair when competitive games come around, but i still think the approach always should be to win and give a good account of ourselves.

I’d rather all the mistakes and dodgy performances came during our corporate globetrotting than during the real season.

The defence in the second half will never be seen as a starting line up in any competitive game, but the manager needs to give everyone a shot.

It matters not a jot. We got pumped 5-1 by Arsenal in a preseason game before we went to one of the most exciting football seasons I have ever witnessed in the Centenary Year.

I don’t like being on the end of any defeat, but if we are going to have them then now is the time.

Any sign of a cracked crest in the SMSM yet?

The players should use it to do what the manager wants. And results are at the end of that generally.

It should be used to prepare for the season ahead.

Whilst i agree in part, no manager wants his team to go out and get beat 6-4.

Brendan will know our weaknesses. I think it has been a worthwhile exercise, seeing what youngsters could be thrown into the pressure of making the squad week in, week out.

Our new signings have an opportunity to get settled here, before they join up with the team.

What worries me is that we know Brendans weakness which is, and always has been, in defence.

Ultimately, the guys who are saying it doesn’t matter are right, but this blasé shrug of the shoulders regarding the concession of six goals will never sit right with me, whether we’re playing at the Bernabeu or Broadwood, competitive or not.

I also find it rather funny when people say Rodgers knows what he needs now, as if he’s rocked up to Yokohama and seen Kobayashi try and mark a man for the first time.
