They are a good team tbf and midway through their season and the difference in match sharpness showed.

 

Centre half & Left back required before the window shuts. Scales & Berni not good enough.

 

Maeda gets motm for us, but Hatate was different class until he tired a bit.

Interesting game that

Good to get a tough run out but * me there's a lot of work to be done. Lot of * to be punted and upgrades brought in, and MAJOR work required tactically.

 

So, great passing through the midfield in the first half, good wing play on the right with Abada and Iwata doing alright there too. Maeda great showing.

Defense, poor, errors on our part directly led to 4 of their goals, and the other 2 should probably have been better too, Shame Kobi got injured, hopefully it's no a bad one.

Too set in playing out from the back, send it up the pitch sometimes when you're getting pressed to *, especially with the pace we have up there. Siegriest didn't look half the goalie he was for Dundee united, Hart was shocking for the first goal conceded but made some good saves after that.

Probably should have had a penalty for Oh and possibly Kyogo in the build up to Turbulls goal but we scored on that one so no complaints.

Fitness (or lack thereof showed for us and they showed that they are mid season and on it. Summers looked good as did Kelly, McPherson didn't quite get a chance to show what he's got.

A good test for a pre-season game, shows what we knew in needing defensive reinforcements.

 

It's only pre season, and there's players to come in.

But I don't want to see us linked with another player unless it's a defender or a keeper

 

Exactly, pre season is pre season, a time for the manager to assess the squad, see who's good enough, who's not, who fits in and who doesn't. We played good football at times just defensively very very poor. Although think Welsh and scales did a better job than starfelt and kobiashi, they were just let down by a ghost keeper.

 

All I'll say is that it was a good test this early in the season, especially considering they're half way through theirs.

Plenty time to get up to speed for our competitive matches.

 

That was simply awful for the majority of the second half. Defence and keepers were terrible but as good as some of the midfield forward play was they were pretty awful at tracking rumours and providing any suppport.

That said the defensive line trying to play offside was terrible. Both left backs looked awful, Taylor won’t work as an overlapping full back, he is too slow to get up and down the line and actually overlap a winger. Bernabei cannot defend, he is pathetic in the tackle and his positioning is worse.

That was guys who aren’t even getting game time for them that destroyed us at the end like their number 23.

There are a lot of players who played in that game that are not at the required level and a good number of them need shipped out.

Johnston and CCV will make a big difference but we need to be upgrading our keeper and left side of the defence to match what we have on the right. We also need someone else in midfield that makes it more difficult to play through us.

Definitely, wouldn’t worry too much about the score in a preseason friendly as it’s more so about giving lads a run but after watching that I’m a lot more anxious than I was before with that defence. Abysmal defending

Didn’t like the of kyogo dropping deep or playing wide, doesn’t suit him at all. Has to play through the middle up top or nowhere

Yeah silver linings and all that. There was probably folk at the club who thought we could just ride through the summer without doing much and we would just win the league again next year. This is I’ll tell them we need to go out and spend! Now aswell no In 4/5 weeks time.

 

If we are winning away from home in Europe, just stick Maeda up there, with Hatate pulling the strings on the break.
