    Watched Malignant last night. Bonkers.

Actually thought it started off pretty well. Creepy and unsettling. The twist was ridiculous and the last 25 mins were just * carnage.

Still not sure what I think about it.

Liked Extraction and just watched the second one there, pretty entertaining. Obviously a bit daft but they're decent action movies no doubt.

I've run out of Japanese content so onto the Korean stuff!

I liked this action film. It starts of a bit weak but once the North Korean agent escapes over to South Korea, the pace really picks up. Also, it's quite a realistic look at how both Koreas would deal with a nuclear armed confrontation. Some good fight scenes too

    7 / 10 for me

Watched Inglorious Basterds again last night.

I think this in near my perfect ever made movie......going head to head with Goodfellas for me.

Outstanding movie. Every chapter, Every scene was stunning.

The opening with Lans and the Farmer was just utterly breath taking to watch, especially the acting and switching of languages.

    10.

A Life Less Ordinary is pretty good. Maybe one of Danny Boyle's more underrated efforts. Much prefer it to The Beach anyway.

Good shout and definitely underrated. Has some good moments worth checking out definitely. Ewan McGregor and Danny Boyle's first foray into Hollywood. Used to love the soundtrack of this movie as well when had it on CD. Must be at least 20 years since last time.

Watched the new Transformers. Usual carry on. But enjoyable enough when you know what you’re getting.

Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning - Part I

Not a big Tom Cruise fan, but these last couple of MI movies have been pretty * good. This is what the Daniel Craig-era 007 Bond movies aspired to be. Some decent intrigue, what feels like genuine stakes on the line and some real edge of the seat action. Recommend.

If that's the one set in New Orleans, with the Alligators etc, aye. Abandoned that fairly quickly.

But without Akira there is no Ninja Scroll or Ghost in the Shell or Grave of the Fireflies or anything else. Things like that have to be in context.

    Sunshine

Been meaning to watch it for years. First two acts were brilliant - characters are written to be like proper people and not caricatures, the build up of suspense with one thing after another going wrong was masterfully done.

The last act was a bit messy and changed the vibe of the film, and is definitely the weakest part of the film. But it’s a great watch.

    And the music:35:

Boyle, Garland and Murphy were a great team. 28 Days Later and Sunshine.
