    As long as he’s happy!

Maybe marquee was the wrong word. But players that undeniably go right into the starting 11. The two Koreans have the best shot of that at the moment, but still not guaranteed.

Yang has, due to injuries and Jota's departure. Not sure about Kwon. Iwata probably will cover the RB slot at the start of the season. We brought in Kwon - a natural CDM because of that.

I like the look of him in those videos, the way he protects the ball and moves it on with tidy passes without having to look or take any touches, he'a already aware of where guys are before he even wins the ball and moves it.

Looks quite energetic and sharp for a big guy as well.

I like us signings players from Japan and Korea as well, when you think of it Japan and Korea have probably been better than Scotland and Ireland for the last 25 year or however long, so if theres plenty of Scottish and Irish guys we'd be happy with in our squad theres probably even more Japanese and Koreans and they're cheap as *.

They also I think on average have much higher skill and technique on the ball than Scottish players.

No, marquee signings are right and I'm sure we are active in that department. These sort of players might be holding out for a better league though which is their right.

I think we just need to be patient on that front.

Big lad and looks very good on the ball but I think for his size he seems to look slightly soft not very aggressive. I think Iwata could be more aggressive maybe he’s more of a rodri type like a big playmaker

Welcome. Good to get these guys in now, so they get used to their team mates. If they don't step in straight away, at least we have cover for the middle of the park and out wide.

Im choking to see the * in a full game now he looks quality to me in these videos, wee dribbles in tight areas pinging the ball about just the way he runs with his head up as well and passes without thinking into nice areas you can just tell he's a smart player with great vision.

The way he moves his body and legs as well in control of the ball is like Xavi or Busquets where he always steps and positions himself even before he takes a touch to block people from getting to the ball.

The amount of times he intercepts the ball with a wee backheel lay off or even wins it steps over it and does it as well oozes class :57: get this big * on the park immediatley.

I dont usually watch new players videos before they sign as being their best bits its always going to look good but a big defensive midfielder I did want to see if he was actually clever enough on the ball and he looks superb.

I’m quite happy with Ange’s record with the guys he brought in, so these guys, Ange has looked at, our scouting teams have looked at and Brendan Rodgers has looked at and all deemed good enough.

    Nice seal of approval that

How much say? I'd imagine final say, but initially, * all.

I don't mean that too negatively, but clear as day none of these signings are "Rodgers signings" for lack of a decent term for it.

I do agree though, happy enough with these players coming in and trust the setup for now.
But need to see a couple big signings to stamp on the squad and push us forward.

A keeper in the calibre of Livakovic would be nice and a 3rd CB that truly pushes CCV and Starfelt on.

    I'll be happy with that.

    Welcome big man...

Happy with these type of signings. The lad looks an absolute unit, he will literally step on Raskin and Tittok..:56:

I know alot of us want the Marquee signings but we could also do with getting rid of some of the dross... Shaw, Soro, McCarthy and the Ajetis of our squad..

Yet another risky signing. He may prove to be a brilliant acquisition, but I'd rather we targeted more established players. I mean, it's not like we lack the money.

Highly doubt we'll sign another midfielder (or winger for that matter). Not enough room since we are capped at 17 non-homegrown players in Europe.

Mate congrats in moaning at every signing.

I have said on here for weeks we have significant interest in hatate, o'reily, starfelt and abada they all might move on. There is also a chance the rule could change before season starts it's up for debate just now

He looks quite tall and lanky to me. I would describe CCV as a unit.

Im with him mate. Iv said before but i would expect a bit more established quality given the position we are in and with champions league football on the horizon.

Im struggling to see the need for this move when Iwata hasnt had any real chance in the defensive midfield position.

I'd turst what we're doing Forster, CCV, Van Dijk, Ajer, Juranovic, Frimpong, Johnston, Wanyama, Ki, Hatate, O'Riley, Rogic, Jota, Abada, Samaras, Edouard, Kyogo, Dembele etc almost all our best signs are guys we barely seen or knew before who had mostly barely even played 2 seasons of football.
