Croatian players tend to mature later, and produce their best football after age 27. Modrić's long term replacement is IMO Lovro Majer, but sadly for us, Newcastle want him.

 

Loan-to-buy could be brilliant for us.

 

The huns were linked with him a few weeks back, but I think Austin Trusty could be a good option for CB. Pretty sure he played every game for Birmingham last year and their fans rate him very highly.

 

A Left wing/ attacking midfield option could be Jorge Carrascal. Excellent close control, pace and dribbling ability.

He is very press resistant given his agility and ability to accelerate out of a press. He also has that natural awareness of space when he is out of possession.

Gets games for Columbia too.

 

Not going to lie, I’d be tempted to give Dele Ali a shot… boy needs to get the * away from the EPL and needs a manager who can show him some serious love. That’s Rodgers. Could he ever get that form from 5/6 years ago back? I highly doubt it but if he was anywhere close… what a player we would have on our hands.

Wages would have to be right but Everton will probably be looking to get rid… after his interview today… would love to see someone give him a chance of being the player we all know he can be.

 

Absolutely not, he's done nothing for years and the Besiktas coach basically came out and said he was * and not trying.

Dele Alli reminds me a bit of Adel Taarabt. You know the ability is all there, but you have to question the desire.

Alli looked a top player at one point though.

 

Yeah that’s the one he doesn’t go into detail but mentions it, very sad stuff but was good to hear from him and sheds light on why his career declined so much the last 3-4 years

I've no doubt he'll probably finish his career in Saudi/MLS, but pls Celtic.

 

Apparently he'd be available for €10M. I had suggested him a week ago, if we absolutely cannot get Tierney.

 

Sosa has one * of a cross, and can defend decently well. But Tierney is homegrown, and equally good attacking and defending.

 

Besiktas have apparently already agreed a deal with him.
