Personally I think its great mate. Ange tapped us into these markets and we are ploughing on.. better than the dross we were signing years ago like Shaw and Urhoghide and the like as projects..

    That’s exactly it man.

Think because we’ve been used to the early players in and now having to wait it’s *

I dunno where they fit in though. We need someone like him but ideally someone more exepreicned.

He's also 22 so in my mind that isn't a youngster or a 'wonderkid' in footballing terms. If he's coming here then would need to be given a decent amount of football to progress. That's the age where players need to start playing.

Suppose we won't know exactly what the plans for them are until the end of the window.

I don't think the Asian leagues do "wonderkids" as such. They seem to have a completely different system to over here which sees their players develop a little later and alot more mature.

What the plan is for them straight away exactly, who knows but we have a clear strategy.

Didn't Hatate and Kyogo start their carrers relatively late.. like their 20"s?

Well yknow what I mean, I was using wonderkida in a tongue in cheek way more than anything.

My point is that any player above 21 for me should be making a regular push for game time which this guy very well may, however it concerns me slightly. If he doesn't and comes here as a project not playing, he's gonna stagnate.

I hope we don't focus on the Asian Market too much.

If he was our only signing for the CDM position I'd be really disappointed.

We've had 3 very good successes from Asia and 3 with some question marks over them. Ideguchi not even a question mark tbh.

Again I don't think BR came back here to have a go at Europe if these are the type of signings he's getting as first picks. Lots of time remaining to sign big names etc.. for now it's a wait and see.

We’ve still got about 5 or players to move on.

These projects are fine if you improve on your squad alongside and we haven't. and to be honest Oh is probably the best Asian signing we've had since Hatate and Maeda have come. He still has work to do. I think Iwata and Yuki have plenty of work to do.

Mate regarding our Asian dealings so far it's not even up for debate... how much did we buy all the Japanese lads for? If we sold them all tomorrow how much profit do you think we'd make?? On Hatate and Kyogo alone its mouth watering if you're our board.

Yes Idegichi was awful but he got injured straight away, he'd no chance..could happen any signing.

Asian Market is a Market we are concentrating on so we better get used to it.

We will also sign from other parts of the world.. the negatively in here is off the wall

Not saying I think we should sway from it at all but there's plenty other spots we should focus on that will give us the desired quality to step up in Europe. Hatate and Kyogo are European quality but question marks over the rest still.

As I've said I'm more concerned about defensive minded players coming from Asia as I don't believe they are historically renowned for those kinda players.

The recent launches into the Asian Market haven't had the instant impact but appreciate we got very fortunate in anges first season. Still time.

My overarching point here across these couple threads is that this window should be about instant upgrades on players and so far I don't believe we've seen that from any of the signings made. Asian Market based or not.

Hoping it's just a case of bulking the squad in the hope of some duds leaving.

Tete, Rieder, Vera, Vinicius Souza, Jashari, Gudmondsson, Grbic etc rumours like these are ones that will take us up a level.

When we signed Kyogo and Hatate I'd say there was about 3 people on here who had heard of them...we'd no idea if they'd make the grade. Like I'd say no one on here has a clue about the S Korean lads.

Bit stereotypical saying Japenes are not renowned for defensive players.. like saying the same about Brazilians.. ah sure than can just attack

From what Im reading from people that know the Korean league and have seen these lads play, we are absolutely ribbing them like we did the Japanese clubs for Hatate and Kyogo..

Again the negativity on here is depressing.. think I'll go for a pint haha

TBH, there are nations that tend to produce more quality in certain positions than others. Poland produces goalkeepers, Denmark defensive midfielders, Japan full backs and attacking midfielders...

We will 100% sign a GK before the window ends, Rodgers isn't going to come out and publicly slate Hart, and I fully expect Siegrist to be sold.

I don't expect the keeper to automatically replace Hart, will noreso be displacing him as the season goes on.

We paid 3 million for an Argentinian and people were creaming themselves

And remember Bernabei was signed in june which was great because getting him early to bed in really helped him make a mark from the off, unlike the later window signings that really struggled...
