What an absolute sin for the boy.

Some players have all the talent but their bodies just won't play along.

 

Costs us * all if injured... We have insurance for injured players. It's the time in between injuries that cost us...

 

In a word, unprofessional.

Throwing out that sort of quote to the media on an injured player in our squad is asking for trouble and haven't seen it before from any other of our managers as far as I can remember in 50+ years.

Does the same go for CCV, AJ or whoever is injured next?

Comes across to me as a * from that clip in all honesty. Might be carrying a chip on his shoulder from what happened at Leicester.

Wasn't keen on his appointment so possibly not the most neutral person to ask it has to be said.

Yeah I guess he could have kept that slightly in-house in that regard. But he's right in that we can't keep carrying Johnston or any player that can't stand up to the demands of playing here. Rodgers was at least truthful.

Seriously, players get injured all the time. Blaming or shaming them is not what any manager should do.

He's supposed to be an experienced, elite manager. He needs to act like it and not through injured squad players under a bus. Which is exactly what he's done here.

Been pretty neutral about his appointment but definitely not improving for the better.

 

He's not the 1st manager to have a go at him tho about it is he?

Rember lennon actually telling him to * off after getting one of his many injuries.

If managers are getting frustrated and criticising him for constantly picking up injuries it maybe points to him not taking care of himself properly or may even be that he uses injuries as an excuse bcoz he's not up to playing here.

Who knows but id say there's more to it than bad luck if Rodgers is having a slight dig at him, particularly as that's not his style of management.

 

The fact that Johnston is massively injury prone and it's not something we can keep carrying.
