Pretty sure Taylor made a comment last season about his arms being like legs.

With a rest and a full preseason behind him I think he'll suprise a few.

He settled the game down just as huns were starting to come into the game n get on top in game at hampden. Definitely offers bit more physicality than the other midfielders

 

Arnold Schwarzenegger had big arms and he is * at football.

 

He'll suit Rodgers midfield setup better than Ange's.

We would like to inform you that Tomoki Iwata, who belongs to Yokohama F・Marinos (currently on loan to Celtic FC), will be permanently transferred to Celtic FC.

I have decided to make a permanent transfer to Celtic FC. I can only thank Oita Trinita and Yokohama F. Marinos for making my dream come true.
Winning the championship last season is a sight I will never forget in my football life. I enjoyed practicing every day, and every week I was able to share the victory with the Marinos family, and the two years I spent at F. Marinos were extremely fulfilling. I am glad that I moved to F. Marinos, and I will do my best in my own way so that I can think that I am glad that I moved to Celtic FC.

Tomoki Iwata is delighted that his move to Celtic from Yokohama F. Marinos has become a permanent one, following his initial six-month loan spell with the club.

The 26-year-old midfielder made his debut back in January in a 5-0 Scottish Cup win over Morton at Celtic Park, and he went on to make a total of 18 appearances last season, helping the Hoops win the Premiership title and the Scottish Cup, which completed a historic treble for the club.

And having enjoyed success in his first few months as a Celtic, Tomoki is determined to help deliver further trophy triumphs in the seasons ahead.

Speaking to Celtic TV, he said: “I’m really looking forward to it. I came in last season and really felt how big a club this is and how great Celtic is during that six months.

'I feel that I need to lift up my level for the new season, so I’m looking forward to it but also, I want to prepare very well.'

“I joined the team in the middle of the season. I felt that I settled well into the team but, personally, I wanted to help the team more.

“This season we will try to win the same titles. We’re aiming for more success and, within that, I want to perform well too.”

 

Aye, if Rodgers reverts to his 4-2-3-1 he could definitely play one of the two sitters.. think we'll sign a CDM too tho.. which means we could have Hatate, O'Riley, Holm, Turnbull and maybe Haksabanovic all vying for the CAM role.

 

Think it would have to be Hatate now in fairness. Be mental to see him dropped from the midfield while fit n firing

Aye I wrote them in the order I would start them.. I guess O'Riley can play deeper too.. I'm fascinated to see if Rodgers changes our system slightly.

 

I actually think he’s solid at dm, it’s hard to come on for 15 minutes and stand out in the 6

 

With the team as is regardless of formation it’s Mcgregor o Riley and Hatate. Whether rodgers brings someone else in I’m not sure but I think rodgers is gonna love Matt o Riley tbh and think he will take his game up a notch
