Went to 2 of the Ireland u19s euros there a couple months back and thought he was miles ahead of vata in both games. Skill, pace, vision the lot… good end product aswell

 

Him and James abankwah who went to udinese from pats for 1m… Still only 18 maybe just gone 19 right back and can play cb…. Powerhouse, had his starting debut for udinese against juventus just before their season ended and looked class

 

He signed for a Turkish team though I agree he would of been a great buy for only 2M as well.

Tbh English teams can’t sign Irish players until they’re 18 so I reckon there was loads interested in zefi but couldn’t sign him and after inter got him for their u19s I reckon a lot of clubs in England would be still monitoring him closely

 

Still lot of these Irish youngsters are so highly rated but bar Ferguson and Collins this talk hasn't really materialised at tier 1 or international level. I really like knight also and think he would be a no brainer under Rodgers as a squad midfielder. Zefi would only be worth signing if he was given a genuine shout off the left like vata should get off the right.

I like knight but don’t think he’d be good enough. I think smallbone would be a better player in the middle he had a great season last year in the championship and always played well with Ireland 21s before stepping up. Sam Curtis I think in the loi will have a good career, Man City we’re dying to get him but he’s still only 17 and probs pats best player for their 1st team since last season at right back and cb. I think loi should be looked at more but then again they can’t sign for Celtic until they’re 18 due to brexit. Maybe with the new partnership with admira wacker they could sign players for a couple years then we could buy them, another lad to be looked at is mason melia… only 15, plays for Ireland u16s and u17s and has came off the bench a couple times for pats first team. Scored last Friday against Ucd to become the youngest loi league scorer in history. Has been over training with Tottenham a few times but don’t think they could sign him again cause no english family etc

 

I've mentioned this boy before, but Emil Breivik at Molde is pure quality man. Just finished watching Molde - Brann and he runs the whole * show from his midfield position. Just turned 23 as well. I know we're stacked in midfield, but if anyone is leaving this window I would love if the club pushed out the boat to get him.

 

If Rodgers absolutely wants a CM and Rieder refuses to come, Hidemasa Morita of Sporting would be quite decent- an intelligent player with lungs not far off from Maeda's. We could ask a bit of money from them and Morita if they make a bid for Abada.

 

Probably out of our range now but how much do you reckon Buturina would cost?

 

I think €10M right now. Dinamo seem to be in mild financial trouble at the moment. But Croatia U21 which Baturina played for crashed out of the EURO groups without scoring once.
