Well done on that , Brandon Campbell workout is decent

RDL 185? So you could most likely deadlift 250+

    Cheers mate.
I need to watch my lower back on deadlifts, I know it's a rear exercise. So if I do standard deadlift, it's sumo stance. That way I can drive up. 1rm is 240kg with sumo

It’s 30+ degree heat here so that’s not exactly appealing either :56:

Went this morning and did 4km, followed by 10 mins on the bike, 50 push ups (45 and then 5 to finish off) and then a 2 minute plank. I ended up getting sick in my mouth at the end but I’ll put that down to the copious amounts of Vietnamese beer and wine last night along with the fact I had no breakfast :56:

As i have said before i cant run anymore ( knees fuked )with
    Osteoarthritis

My swimming is hard work sometimes , i manage to swim 2 miles 4 days a week Saturday,, and Sunday,,,, Tuesday and Friday is 2 milers as well but i have to get those miles in 2 hours in those days.
The other 3 days are a bit tricky if i can get a mile on in those days i am over the moon, it depends who is in those lanes .

I do a bit of cycling in the gym and some light weights, then sauna time after it all.

I have the time bcos i am retired

The swimming builds up my upper body

I had surgery on my chest 5 weeks ago so finally got back to weights above the waist this week. Lost about 5-10% of weight I could lift, depending on the exercise but I did more reps so evened it out slightly. I'm sure within a month I'll be back to where I was once my brain and muscles reconnect. But I love doing weights, especially chest. They are the absolute best.

I tried a new exercise on Tuesday, and plan on doing it again tomorrow. Death by burpees, for those of you that aren't aware what this is. Minute 1 do 1 burpee, rest until the 1 minute ends. So if it takes you 3 seconds you have 57 secs rest, ifit takes 5 secs then 55 secs. Then in minute 2 you do 2 burpees and so on until you can't complete the number. I only managed to finish 7 but I'd been working my chest and triceps for an hour before so that could be a reason. In it you do a push up burpee with a small jump at the end, you can do a tuck jump if you want but you only have to do about 6 inches up.
Sounds easy right? Yeah I thought that when I agreed to do it infront of the gym owner with him timing me. First 3-4 minutes fine. 5 minutes your breath starts to go. My aim is 10 for the next one. What I've been told is 10 is good, 12-13 really good, 15 very good and 17 is awesome. I'd suggest that everyone gives it a go. One of teh trainers said he did 17 once, but he only weighs about 60kg and being light will help with this.

Fresh weekend. 10 k the other day and 7.5 the day..

The 7 and a half there was more of a killer than the 10 for some reason..

Battering the workouts indoors as well..

I'm exact same about a gym mate. Just don't really like them or have the drive to go regular..

At least I know with my runs, home workouts or park apparatus near me that whenever I've got time...I can crack on with it..

There's actually no even a gym that close to me anyway where I am..

I may no be doing it exactly how it's meant to be but fuckit :giggle1:

Keep up the good work :50:

I don't have the drive to go, never understood these nutters that go to the gym before work. Could never.

Least your doing something though mate, far too easy to fall into a hole and be a lazy *. Had a year of that :56:

    Cheers man, you too :50:

I was really happy when a gym opened a 10 minute walk from me. Only locals use it, has a good community Atmos, owners and trainers give you tips also no meatheads. last gym I went to had loads of ped users, could see em injecting in the changing room.

I do keep resistance bands at home if I can't get out.

Working out in the morning is the best time. Also I'm lucky, I work 2 to 5 days a week at home so don't have to commute post workout, sometimes go at lunch

I'm half a slap from a gym here. I used to use my old youth club one when I was down my maws or my brothers downstairs from his apartment but I like the way I do mine as weird as that is. The social awkwardness in me :giggle1:

I like doing my workouts in the morning. Especially press ups etc or a run before I eat anything. I wouldn't be going a gym at 5/6 in the morning though. Fair play to anyone that regularly does that..

Got pal's that go everyday and bang out ju-jitsu etc in the week then play football on a Sunday. * that man those days are long gone for me :giggle1:

at my gym there are these women (in their late forties and fifties) who do 8 to 10 classes a week. Don't know how they manage that.
I'll head down at around half 7 or 8, so not too early. I remember an old job where I left my flat at 6am, while waiting for the bus they would be doing circuits in the park but this only happened in winter.

Lowest weight in years at 83.7kg yesterday and managed an 8k on Thursday and been getting to
gym 3 times a week, just taking it semi easy cause not full recovered from breaking my ankle in April but pushing as much as I can.
Go on holiday on 6th September and want to be about 80kg or low 80s by then, I know the scale isn't everything though and I can fit into a couple of M t shirts pretty snugly when an XL had been fitting like a glove at one point.
I went from about 65kg ( I was too small tbh) to over 90kg during lockdown and covid time and 80kg was the trigger point when I started online PT etc, so it's frustrating and a bit mad that my target for holiday is that aswell. Basically knocking my pan in to get to a weight I've been unhappy with before and know I'm gonna be out of shape on holiday but * it at least it's progress and hopefully can continue after holiday too.

Noticed my right arm and shoulder are far bigger than my left. Obviously you will always have a dominant arm but the size difference was too big. have started to swap to almost entirely unilateral exercises. Will still keep bench press and lateral pulldown but apart from that try and work each side separately.

Been * lately with drinking to much partying right through the wknds and blowing ridiculous amounts of coin. Been meaning to get my act together for a long while now. Yesterday I gave it another blast in my own wee set up gym I have . This is me after a light weight session (because of a sore arm) and did 30mins on one of my air bikes , 8.5klm BOLLOXED ! The sweat was running of me like a water tap it was that bad.

AS Soon as my arm healed thou I'm going to get a strict routine in and stick to it.

Had the young pups in training too with me. They've let their own training slip away recently so getting these wee * back at it before they lose all interest at all. :39:

Ya go into work feeling like a million dollars but very hungry. Used to do it myself but one needs to have a very strict routine to stick at it. It's not as bad as you think

Decent lifts them, esp the rdl. Are they 1rm or reps. My peak lifts about a decade ago where something similar only my 1rpm bench was 125kg. repping out over 100kg untill I * my shoulder up. Wouldn't e even know what they are now thou because only really messing about with heavy weights now and again. Soon to rectify this thou once my forearm is healed. Squatting the 145kg I'm sure your * after it. They sure do take it out of ya squats do.
