We all know what happens when holding on to an unhappy player. It's not a good idea.

It's all about money now and playing for the jersey is long gone.
Contracts now are not worth the paper it's written on with Jota still has years on his and it's sickening these clubs with tons of money just click their fingers and a player runs for the big bucks .
My worry is if we lose hatate kyogo and * forbid CCV then our advantage over the zombies is out the * window and the replacements not guaranteed the same calibre of player .

Good luck to him. Hope he does well and sets his family up for life.

Terrific player for us. Was absolutely wasted by Ange for a lot of his time here due to his obsession with Maeda, but was still very effective even out of position.

Worked like a dog as well, which is rare for a flair player of his ability. Hope he does great.

Odsonne and Ntcham hardly profited from their attitudes. In fact, their example could be used to knock sense into whiny money-chasers. Instead of giving their all, their careers are now stagnant.

Don't know why anyone would think it's a good idea, as if blocking a player moving on to earn 10x what they are here will make them knuckle down and play out their skin for us, in hopes of getting themselves an even bigger move? Living in fantasy land.

Crazy that folk justified supposed Mr Celtic leaving the club for £80k at Arsenal, but can’t understand a Portuguese signing leaving for £10m per year :56:

I don't think Edouard gives a * about being stagnant when he signed a 4 year deal at £80k a week.

Canny blame amyone for wanting to maximise their earnings, as supporters we get emotionally invested in players/managers, but to them it's a career, with a good few qiud in the coffers it's now all about how we spend it.

Well, he might be envying players considered better than him. He had the potential to do great, but his outcome is what Jota needs to look at. Obscurity looms when greed takes over.

Again, I don't think he's going to care about obscurity when he probably picked up £3m off us in wages, he will pick up £16m off Crystal Palace in wages and is more than likely going to pick up £1m a year in wages after he leaves Palace.

And guess what is even more mental. Edouard will probably be very comfortable for life when he gets into his 30s. Picking up £13m in his hand worth of wages throughout the years. Jota is going to pick that up in 16 months.

Heard the fee could be around £36m, which would soften the blow.

We need to invest heavily this summer. Blow our total spend for a window completely out the water.

Where you hearing that? £36m would be unreal business to be fair.

    Jungle drums.

Could be horseshit but it's a bit of an unusual figure to pull out the air.

Aye it is. Hopefully that's true. That's another major signing if we got that much on top of the original £25m

Can't see it being that much.

    Would be great business though.

If we don't block the transfer. Jota might have to be patient. There's many years left for him to grab silly money. Our CL campaign has precedence over his agent's scheming.

Gutted he’s leaving man, outside of Calmac & CCV he is mine and everybody else’s favourite

Seen someone on Facebook mention the deal is worth £30m but not sure if thats true but it * should be.

Hopefully we re-invest in a similar calibre player in the 5-10m bracket and not some unknown from Israel

Nuno is a proper * manager as well. The complete opposite of Ange.

Jota will probably be there for a year or two at most.
