Is he though?

Jota had that "artist" vibe - that he's focused on being the best at what he loves, and inspired by those that came before him. Maybe just my take but it does make a difference for me to how I have perceived him.

If he then goes to the highest bidder, just when star is on the rise and he doesn't really have to worry about his future, shows that up as talk not character.

It's made worse when the country/regime he is going to is very questionable on lots of fronts.

Not really criticising him for whatever decision he makes, it is literally up to him, but if he does go then he's given up on being a bettr footballer for more cash, and he doesn't really care how he makes his money as long as it is enough.

Plenty of other people would make the same trade, but it does mean you know a bit more about them and in all honesty not in a positive way.

I'm really hoping he doesn't make this choice.

What a terrible terrible start to the summer.

 

Don't think he knew anything conrete at the time, but we should have been fully expecting bids for him this summer, the only real shock to me is that it's from saudi arabia and not a bigger league in europe.

 

Nobody is irreplaceable, people say this * every time we sell a good player, but we move on same as always.

I find it hard to believe he didn't know he was away. Look how quickly this has been done. They've offered him ridiculous money as well so he must've known what was in the pipeline..

I genuinely didn't think he'd be away this summer..

Difficult to replace but not impossible.

 

I said weeks ago ange knew a lot of these players where offski and he knew he was away himself

"Mate some of those players aren't going to be here next season that are in that dressing room right now"

 

I'm not worried about Jota leaving, I'm worried about who we bring into replace him. The small amount of rumours worries me, but lets wait and see.

 

For the Scottish league thats true. But Jota did have the potential to lift his game to a level that might make a difference in Europe.

Sinclair had better stats than Jota.

Jota was never an outlet in Europe. There’s plenty of wingers within our budget who could at least be a threat in Europe.

 

If anything we have learnt since 2021 we do our business quietly and effectively our 2 signings so far have been leaked by Norwegian media and aussie media our fannies didn't have a sniff, perfect way to be. Deals don't happen overnight they are planned months in advance.
