its kind of irrelevant where he is headed ,hes leaving for exactly the same reason he would of went to england .dont think £25 m is enough .someone can correct me if im wrong but is it not standard practice if a club has a sell on% that is then passed on to the next move so it would be £25m + 30% sell on (if benfica are due the rumoured 30%) . i cant see football in saudi ever getting where it wants to go and the WAG's will have a lot to do with that

The problem is, it's brendan rodgers now and his record in the transfer market is pretty dreadful.

 

I agree with everything here but you can't get away from the fact that certain players downed tools that season cause we didn't give them the move they wanted.

It's a blow to lose Jota, no doubt about it, we just need to trust the scouts/manager to find a good replacement.

Hatate was an obscure one aswell go as far as saying never heard Forster either Newcastle youth player goes on to be a good signing

Yet a few clubs are selling their best players to these teams.

 

Never once said that.

I said that clubs all over the globe are clamouring to have their deadwood sold there, as they know Saudi clubs will overpay for them.

Meanwhile Celtic, and only Celtic, is having its pants pulled down for one of its best players.

 

Aye its because we all * love jota. This will be the hardest loss this summer.

There are security issues to consider though. This is purely money and it’s most likely driven by agents, these fckrers push deals to get there cut. So even when a player is settled they are looking to move him on it all just money.

Jota will earn enough to be comfortable for the rest of his puff and I don’t blame him, I nearly went to myself to work there but I didn’t like the place so stepped away not the same money but more than uk

 

If it’s 192 grand a week or whatever they’re willing to pay then surely the fee has to be more than 25 million. How many players are on they wages and for such a small fee in comparison? Not many I’d imagine. 40 million starting point
