Sometimes the money on offer is too good to be refused, and if a player wants to go, what can you do?! If course there's other factors involved, age, length of contract, previous sell on fees etc...

But at some point, we need to say no. If we're to kick on a make progress in Europe, then you can't be selling Hatate, Jota and Kyogo. We'd struggle to retain the title let alone make it out the group stages of CL. We're fine for dosh now. And if we sell Abada then we can hold on to the rest whilst strengthening. So punt this to *. We could still.make money from Feimpong and KT sales this summer also.

On a side note. * having anything to do wi Saudi.

I doubt it. To me jota strikes me as someone who wants to play at the highest level, not in a * league for big bucks. Saudi offers will still be there 3/4 years down the line. I wouldn’t worry about the rumours too much

Absolutely love Jota but if the money is right every player should be moving on. Again I just how it's mark lawwell and his team identifying our new players rather than bren throwing money and premier league journey men.. additionally surely has to be +28mill considering length contract etc

If he goes it's Lawells wet dream. Still end up splashing cash on a few players but end up net spending nothing or hardly anything.

Rodgers be checking his contract for cooling off periods

Think he likes to do things a bit differently, don't think hes your typical football player. He may see moving to Saudi as another challenge in itself.

Hopefully not :fear: be gutted for him not to stay here for atleast 1 more season. Surely champions league under a manager like brendan might entice him

Be disastrous losing what he brings to this team..

    Practically irreplaceable..

The links with the agent and manager etc are a worry..

Doesn't worry me if he leaves. Decent player but I would more worried if Kyogo, CCV, Hetate or McGregor were leaving

Reeks of an agent trying to drum up some interest.

See how it pans out but looks like he’s still out partying on holiday so doubt he’s taking much notice either.

He would be virtually writing off his chance of getting picked for Portugal if he moves there.

Hope he stays. No disrespect to the Aussie guy but losing Jota and replacing him with a guy from Melbourne City imo is not getting stronger.

I very much doubt we're bringing in Tilio in lieu of Jota leaving.. we'll spend on a quality replacement if he goes.

If rumours are to be believed that he could be going for £25M, and we would owe Benfica 30%, we'd only be getting around £17.5M there or there abouts.

Although a healthy profit from what we paid for him, it would be so underwhelming to gwt that for a guy woth a good 4 years left on his contract.

Would be a big loss if he went but no player is irreplaceable, we will spend on quality no worries.

Jota will/would thrive under Rodgers, would be complete madness to let him go, and madness on his own part.

If I'm honest, he'd be the one of our "stars" that I wouldn't miss the most.

Brilliant talent, but (only my opinion) a tad overrated.

I would be more upset to lose Hatate, Kyogo, and even Maeda.

No way they get 30% of the fee. Has to be the profit
