Would have to blow the Tierney money out the water.

I can't see it, personally. He has shown in the past that it's about playing regularly at a standard. He won't get that in Saudi Arabia.

    Assuming it’s true..

On the one hand it’s * * we’re going to lose one of our best players and a fan favourite just like that.

On the other hand, we should take advantage of this Saudi thing while it’s going.

As long as Rodgers gets the cash to get replacements and as long as they aren’t inflated * or cheap gambles I’m happy for it.

If it was an EPL team or another team from Europe, £25 million is what I'd hope for/expect.

From a Saudi team? I'd be pushing for £30, easily.

Tbf is quickly change my mind if someone offered me north of £100k a week tax free. Which is what it would be.

It wouldn't kill his career either let's be honest. He's young enough to recover.

Go, get £25m in yer account then come back to Europe at 26.

£25m is nowhere near enough when you consider he's got 4 years left on his contract and Benfica have a hefty sell on fee.

I'd expect £35m at a minimum. Couldn't give a * if he plays in Scotland, he's been one of our best players in Europe for 2 years in a row.

Would be the one player I wouldn’t want to lose.

Anything like Tierney money and he’s gone though.

£25m is huge money for us and honestly, I would be open to selling at that price. Jota is a fantastic player, but we can definitely invest that money into the squad and make us stronger.

We need to learn to sell players at their peak value and invest it properly. Jota is by no means irreplaceable, would be much more gutted if we were losing CCV.

Push for £30m, but £25m is a great fee for us.

I still don't trust him to get decent replacements. I know we've improved since last time he was here in that department but still he's better at inheriting terms than building them
