Love KT. Don’t want a year long loan, not that I think it would ever happen.

This short term thinking has to stop.

Not a chance, he’ll go to Newcastle. A year loan makes no sense on either side.

Until the day he retires he will always be linked and given who he is he will always have us at the back of his mind but this summer isn’t the right time for either him or Celtic.

If it eventually transpires he doesn’t find his way back then that’s unfortunate but there will be no one for him to blame, same as Aiden.

Meh don't want a loan. Rather he went elsewhere and wr get a cut of the transfer fee and invest that.

Just don't think it's financially viable for us given his injuries which are likely only gonna get worse.

Bring him home. He improves us, I'll take it.

This. His injuries would be a major concern.

Would absolutely take him, although I can’t see it.

Taylor is brilliant in the inverted fullback role, but may struggle to adapt to a Rodgers requirements.

Having them both at left back would make it the strongest the position has been in years, and give us options with them both bringing different things to the table.

Really can't see it happening. Too much of a risk even for a loan as the wages would be huge. I would love mind you.

Nae chance Lawell let's it happen. That * wouldn't sleep at night if he lost 50p

There was a lot of talk at the time… that it was the BR regime that aggravated and increased his injuries…

You’d have to wonder if coming back into that regime again would be the best for player or club anyway.

    I agree..

Great player but his injuries would be a massive concern for us and financially just doesn't really add up for all parties..

    We'll be looking elsewhere..

    Was bordering on negligence..

I'd question his professional choices (emotional pull aside) to come back to Scotland, he's an extremely high calibre player who should still be playing in the top leagues at a higher level. We can offer that in only a handful of games a season.

Has he already got his move lined up (Newcastle most likely) and the papers are just * with us to say he rejected us?

Can’t see this happening but would not say no to it, even if only for a season, would be a major improvement.

For whatever reason the Newcastle interest has majorly cooled down; I can't see him going there anymore.

If he definitely wants to leave Arsenal, the other viable option for him I read is Aston Villa, which wouldn't be a bad choice for him with European football and Emery (signed him at Arsenal). I can 100% see him there, McGinn is there who could help him settle, plus he's back "closer" to home.

If Villa are the only other option at the moment, I'm not surprised he's seemingly sounding us out about a potential return. Financially it would be very difficult though. At the very least Arsenal would want to get their money back, don't see them loaning him and paying a * tonne in wages for our benefit.

It would be a weird move for him to come back but it's not completely unthinkable. I mean just look at what's transpired in recent weeks.

Take him back in a heartbeat under any circumstances. Him and Taylor as our left back options... yes please..

Back four of KT CCV Starfelt Johnston.. * yeah... surprised if we conceded a domestic goal all season:56:

Chances of it happening.. very slim but ya never know, its a funny old game...ha

This is all hypothetical as I can’t see a scenario where this actually happens but I do think he is a very different player to the one we sold.

On the positives he is a better footballer, more positionally aware and better on the ball.

On the negatives I am not sure his body would stand up to being the rampaging full back he was. His injury record is a worry and would put me off spending in excess of £10m on him.

There’s no doubt a fit and firing KT would be an asset. He can even play that left centre back in a back 3 role like he does for Scotland and would fill a home grown slot.

However a contract of £100k a week and Arsenal wanting to recoup their fee and more on him makes me think we won’t even be close.

When you see the prices Man Utd have slapped on some of their flops it’s no wonder Arsenal would be looking for £30m minimum for KT.

I'd train with the lads for free and accept a free season ticket aswel. May even have a big enough injury crisis to allow me to be ball boy :fear:

In his Open Goal interview, which aired a year after he left Celtic, he said he’d never been into London city centre. He just stayed at his flat and went to training.
