Arsenal no longer suits him because they play inverted full backs and he's never been the most technically gifted of players. Aston Villa would have been * perfect for him under Emery but they signed Moreno from Betis so they're covered in that role. He'd be awesome at Newcastle but I don't know if they will spend the money I think it would take for Arsenal to sell. Abroad, maybe? Someone like Atletico Madrid or Juventus would be awesome for him.

I said it jokingly when someone mentioned about bringing him home, he wouldn't fit into our style of play right now. He's a far better defender than anything we have but actual on the ball ability, he's not as good as Taylor.

Took me a while to forgive him after he left us and I have the same view of him as I did Rodgers to be honest. Forgiven both and wish them nothing but the best but his place will never be back here, unless we change style and manager and I hope that never happens.

Hes a celtic man and even after leaving that never changed. Still talks about us, watches the games and always made it clear the the arsenal fans where is heart belongs.

Our player model is to buy cheap, develop and sell on. I can't believe the * he gets for being part of that. Sell while stock is high or end up like the huns buying championship freebies.

True that he doesn't fit our system though but I'm convinced we will see him in green & white again before he retires.

That would be some loan if we can get him in. Can’t see a permanent though

He would be really crocked if he came back to us for a year. I reckon though he knows this himself and there's no chance he is coming to us this season

Can’t see it unless it was a last minute loan deal if no other moves fell through. Think he will get another £25m move to Newcastle or the likes. Down the line I can see him coming back though.

I think it would be a sin on Greg Taylor who has come on leaps and bounds since Tierney left. He's still too young to come back to Scotland. If you've hit the heights of the English Premier League then you want to stay there for as long as you can..................................Until you are James McCarthey's age and realise you can get some dumb * to give you a whopper 4 year contract back in Scotland without you having to do very much at all............then who cares if you get a game? Just sit on the bench or maybe no even that, just sit in the stand. You'll get a good old wage every week for 4 year and a free Celtic season ticket

Tierney and Taylor would both get to play. As long as Tierney isn't forced to go on a lengthy run of games, we'll be fine.

The S*n saying he'd be interested in a return to play for BR again. Loan obviously.

Load of bollocks though. £120k a week at Arsenal and under contract until 2026.

KIERAN Tierney WON’T close the door on a Celtic return if Brendan Rodgers looks for a sensational summer reunion.

SunSport understands the Arsenal and Scotland left-back will spend the close season weighing up his future after a deeply frustrating 2022-23 campaign.

Newcastle United have long tracked Tierney but he’s also now being linked with the Hoops.

Rodgers has been handed a huge £30million transfer budget for his second spell in charge of the Hoops.

And has never hidden his admiration for Tierney, who he took to another level as a player during his first Parkhead hotseat spell.

But even that wouldn’t be enough to buy the Isle of Man-born ace who left Celtic for the Gunners in 2019 for a Scottish record £25m and currently earns £120,000-a-week on a contract until 2026.

However, a season-long loan could yet be a possibility IF both a substantial loan fee and significant compromise over wages can be agreed with Arsenal and Tierney.

A Rodgers swoop would be a stunning statement of intent as he aims to maintain Celtic’s domestic dominance and make a big impact in the Champions League.

Newcastle are seen as favourites to land Tierney - but rival Hoops interest would provide a major emotional pull for him after coming through the club’s academy.

Tierney, signed by Unai Emery, featured just 36 times last term as the London giants’ title bid crumbled during the run-in with Manchester City powering to a third consecutive success.

Indeed, boss Mikel Arteta gave him a meagre four starts from January.

Arteta’s £30m purchase of Ukrainian Oleksandr Zinchenko a year ago greatly impacted Tierney’s first-team possibilities.

He’s never ruled out a second spell with his boyhood heroes Celtic but it’s always been anticipated that would be in his 30s.

The 26-year-old was replaced by the £2m Greg Taylor and it took him time to win over sceptical fans.

Now, though, he’s firmly established as a first pick and better appreciated.

Celtic also have £3.75m Alexandro Bernabei as cover.

But given any encouragement, Rodgers could view a chance to bring back Tierney as being too hard to resist.

Murmurings that he really wants to move closer to home over a year now, but don't think he'd even consider it if he had to drop half his wages. If there's any possibility of it, of course we should look into it.. he's one of the best LBs in that league when he's fit.

I would think it's ridiculously out of our price range though, even if Tierney is interested. We can't really go breaking the bank for a loan player.
