Not Actually that Crucial a Summer as of August 2023...beginning to now think everything isnt fine!

Just squad types and unknowns mentioned so far.

I know he's not been in too long but we need to get new players in and as settled as possible before the games that matter start.

 

I heard a few months back that our aim for this transfer window was to bring in some young, players with potential to replace the squad players that haven’t been getting a look in and are getting moved on as well as adding quality to bolster the first 11.

in addition to this we will replace the players we sell also, as there is lots of interest in at least 7 of our players. Even though there is no chance we will sell all 7.

The rumours so far haven’t been that exciting but I’m expecting them to pick up, this next few weeks with plenty of comings and goings, i’ve heard that BR will be adding staff and we are getting close, to announcing a few players.

I’d expect that the quality players we are looking to sign, will take longer to complete, that the younger ones.

it’s going to be a long summer, but hopefully an exciting one

 

If we were to believe the press then it looks like we will practically need a whole new team as all our players are going to the EPL according to them

 

They might come in but some of them being banded about give me the fear like Rob Holding.

 

It's easy to forget we're still in June. Already got our new nanager sorted and signed a midfielder who will play a big part in the coming season.

If it was the end of July and we were in the same situation, I'd understand the panic, but we've done a solid job so far.

It's Interesting that we haven't been linked with any goalkeepers yet.

 

I don't think we will sign one to be honest. Sit out with the 3 we have and bring in another next year. I don't see us having 4 keepers .

 

When brendan first came in he took a while to get his main guy in sinclair in and I think he was here just over a month before moussa turned up. Players are back a week today and the international players 2 weeks today

 

We will be signing a goalkeeper

 

In what way is it it interesting? Its only interesting to those that inconceivably want rid of Joe Hart who has done nothing wrong. Joe Hart will continue to be our number one, and rightly so, and therefore we wont be looking at keepers in the slightest.

 

I love big Joe but I think we all saw for ourselves that he made a few errors last season and is not as agile as he once was. I think it's imperative therefore that we sign a good quality keeper as it's one of the most important positions for any successful team

 

That is fine if we change our playing style.

 

That’s the thing I know they were on loan the previous season but both CCV and Jota were clearly tied up well before being announced last year, Bernabei too as they counted in the previous financial years numbers and announced on the 30th June.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we done the same this time around where a couple of signings are announced at the end of this week. This allows the clubs finances to show signings across two financial years and also manage profit levels for taxation purposes.

 

Whoever he signs, NEEDS euro progress. This year for the coefficient as well as our last direct entry to the CL for the considerable future.

Outsmarted by huns recent years in EL should be enough of an embarrassment and wake up call for the board to go full tilt. I don't care how they got there they found a way, and we just havent despite having a free hit in Europe for the last ten years and having the better squad of players.

Let's sign the players that can hit the ground running.

 

Keeper needs to be first priority unless we lose any first team players.

I’d love to keep Hart at the club in some capacity just aslong as he isn’t our first choice keeper

 

I think a new keeper would be good but I'm just not entirely sure we will sign one unless Hart or Siegrist leaves
