Fair play that speech to the crowd, that could not have been easy tbh... you could see in the behind the scenes video he was bricking it!

He could of took I’d say 14/20 premier league clubs that become available
Like him or not one thing is for sure he’s a Celtic fan at heart, the hurt he caused Celtic fans hurt him

None of his patter has any sway with me now. I'm totally immune to it now (thanks Ange) Just do the job well and that's fine by me!

He joined Celtic for him, just like the players do - they’re nothing like you or me as fans.

People really need to take their heads out their arses. The majority of people take jobs for their own best interests, regardless of affinity to the area of work.

He’s paid to manage this club, it’s a job and that’s * it and whatever comes out his mouth is nothing short of marketing.
Disingenuous? Sure, but paying lip service is part and parcel of the job that serves us paying customers.
But we’re fans, we deserve… Sorry to tell ye, this * ain’t gonna change if it’s Ange, Brendan or some other *.

If you ever think he’s a good guy Celtic fan sitting in the dugout, have a word with yourself.
When he walks to the corner post-match beating his chest and you think he’s a die hard, never gonna leave, Celtic faithful - mer the fool you.

Just enjoy the moment for what it is. A guy doing a job enjoying and in that moment, bringing your club success and revelling in the enjoyment of it.

Hurts my eyes seeing some of the love sick teenager messages in here. Give yersel a shake ffs.

    I love Brendan…

It's important to get behind him.

Forget the * that happened, it's a new chapter. The support has to give him a platform to succeed.

Here's here to do a job, and I want him to be successful because that means the club will be successful.

And anyway, everyone knows that best thing you can do with your ex is engage in a good old fashioned bout of makeup *.

    Everybody wins!

It strikes me that we wouldn't have felt so hurt by his previous departure if we didn't really count him as one of us. We felt betrayed because no matter what the narrative he really is one of us! It's brave of him to come back and face up to so much negativity. No matter what he says he's wary and so are we but he's here and like he says if we all pull together we can make it work. It's a bit like a huge family fall out where the wounds heal in time. Our families are made up of all different characters and I have a few arrogant, egotistical prats in mine........but we love them just the same because there's a shared bond.

There is one type of * wanking themselves silly over this appointment before we have even had a game. Gullible, braindead wanks, with the memory of a goldfish who would believe anything a snake oil salesman tells them.

Just to add a bit of balance.

Tell you what though I wouldn't come back to live in Glasgow if anyone broke into my house! How terrifying that must have been for his wife. I don't know who was responsible for that but whomever it was it was totally unacceptable.

Tbf to him he didn't need to come back. He could have got another job in England or took a year out. Do I trust him? Nope but he's back now. Feels surreal as * tbh

What don't you trust? If he'll stay for a long time? He won't. Nobody does. Ange never.

Do you trust him to do a good job while here? I'd say yes.

Do you trust him in the transfer market? Me neither :56:

Any manager that comes in will leave the second a big epl offer comes in. That's just the way life is now. Either go for good managers and get a couple good seasons and player development or hire lennons who will stay.

My issue has never been with him leaving, just with the timing of it. I thought it stank at the time and I still do.

Now he’s back - if he can deliver a similar level of success and give us some big moments in Europe, and get the timing of his next departure right, then I think it’ll go a long way to repairing his legacy.
