Give it a couple years we’ll turn on him, don’t ye worry :56::56:

It’s engrained in us due to years of abuse throughout the history haha. Both Brian Quinn and Fergus McCann got booed unfurling flags, both are two of the best in our history board wise

They must've hired him by mistake, normally it's a clueless unlikeable * :56:

He's proving so far, that there was always a different way to skin the cat, as such.

That press conference, lovely to see PL open it, then shut the * up and not be even seen on camera again.
Nicholson then takes the reign and handles it very well, looks to be working well with Rodgers and genuinely looks excited to be sat with him.

The issue with PL before him, was that PL only ever cared first and foremost about making money and not risking losing any.
Nicholson seems more proactive in finding ways to maximise the potential returns.

Nicholson was here and part of the "problem" before, but given the reigns, he's handling things excellently so far.

Desmond is getting what he wants with Ange and Rodgers - exciting positive football club - both him and the rest of the board are also seeing profits through the roof and turnovers reaching record highs yet again.

No need for PL being a cheap *.

    Thank you Nicholson

Lawwell was all about the maximum safe profit for minimum input, he had a wildly successful tenure with us and that was down to what he viewed as the minimum requirement of being good enough to dominate Scotland. The frustration was we need to be as good as we could possibly be, that was always the issue I had with him. He was a ‘just enough’ to insure success sort of guy.

The longer he was here, the more control, and the more ego he gathered though, the scale very steadily tipped towards him being a ball and chain dragging us down.

He didn’t evolve with club, he tried to force the club into the way he thought it ‘ought’ to be.

He wasn’t always that way but he certainly ended up that way for far too long. But he has a lot of useful attributes and contacts, and a reputation within the game in higher echelons of football I’ve steadily turned towards liking he’s been kept around as Chairman now, I wad wary as * at first because of the danger of a power struggle between him and Nicholson.

Nicholson seems to know the best way to use his assets though, and is being a perfectly understated professional CEO.

Nicholson, this is the first I’ve heard much from him, I like the way he talks. It’s very straightforward, whilst giving * all away.

This is the key point- “is being a perfectly understated professional CEO.” Delighted he is doing well.

There to support the manager and does it well. Business savvy and can close a deal. No ego and puts the club first. When he speaks, it's to the point (plus a a small joke). His own man.

    Whats not to like...

is he doing a good job or is he doing his job ? i wont be going over the top with praise for him just because he seems to have put more emphisis on improving the first team ,christ the idea seems so foregin to us when its the most basic task for a football club

Mind when folk used used to say we couldn’t get any better than Peter Lawwell. I think we can safely say that was a lot of nonsense.

Won a double and treble since he came in, after winning nothing, he's doing a good job, unless you're a hun or a delusional *, what more could he have done?
