Exactly, it must be fun being such a cynical, bitter *.

Let's be honest, Brendan Rodgers is the best active British Manager in the world right now.

I wasn't thrilled at the time with him being linked as I wanted something fresh and different. But like a lot of fans, the more I think about it the more I think the board have played another blinder.

Yes he'll be gone in 3 years tops, maybe earlier. Sadly we just need to get used to this when our managers/players acheive huge success at the club, hopefully with the Brendan/Ange departures people will learn to drop the clichés about our great club and deep history.

Anyway, onwards and upwards, guided by a hun skelping supremo.

No drama. Just thought he saw things like Tom Boyd on green, shamrock-shaped steroid pills and so didn't rate him in that kind of media role but also don't really want be negative about him (I love Tom Boyd btw).

I think Eddie Howe and Graham Potter have to be in that argument TBH. Based on last year, I'd have to put Howe as number 1. If it's between Rodgers and Potter for second, I'm not really sure who I'd pick. Let's see how they both get on.

If he does stay the full 3 years (a big if!) and if he brings the same success as last time, he'll have fully redeemed himself in my eyes.

I might be a bit late with this, but I've just seen a video of him standing under the statue of Jock, talking his pish.

I really want to believe it. I really do. We have got the best available in this time bracket.

    "I'll be here for 3 years unless....[pause]..."unless...[pause]".

If he stabs us in the back now....

    But we go again.

Maybe, just maybe, he means it this time.

    I love Tom Boyd too.

Do you remember he got sent of for a cracking save he made? We were playing some Swiss team in a euro competition.

    Absolute legend that man :50:

Sounded quite promising in regards to structure of the club and improved recruitment from before Nicholson and Ange came in. Also stated he wants more power in the team which is what we really need to push on in Europe

I haven't even watched it all yet. There is good footage of him as the Leicester manager being asked if they are bigger than Celtic. He handled it like a pro.

    Two main takeaways....

Wants to add more power to the team.

Wants to add a bit more variation tactically.

    * YES.

Dunno if it's just me, but he still comes across like snake oil salesman. At the very least, he still gives off heavy politician vibes.

I honestly don't give a * though as long as he improves us and delivers on bringing European progress.

I watch and enjoy quite a few. 20 Minute Tims is the best for the patter, Huddle Breakdown the best for the analysis, and 67 Hail Hail best as a kind of straightforward overall package. Enjoy the differences in opinions and styles across all of them.

Interesting interview with a Leicester media lad on Huddle Breakdown the other day. I don't have the link to hand.

Loads of takeaways from it but two things that surprised me were 1) Rodgers started using inverted full backs to good effect at Leicester but injury to his two first choice full backs changed that, and 2) Leicester fans found him to be quite poor at reacting to tactical changes from opposition managers. That's not how I remember Rodgers.

Was a good watch though, a lot of decent insight.

He mentioned using inverted fullbacks before at the fans conference today.

Did he? Must have missed that. Would be good to continue that though given how successful it's proven domestically at least against teams who sit in.

Everyone talking up European progression, really depends on the draw..

We could get City, A. Madrid, Union Berlin for example.. we need a favourable drawn, maybe

Benfica, Feyenoord and an easy pot 4..

Are we defo pot 3 aye?

Also with the changes to the CL season after next, don't think there's a drop down to the EL and the only way we play in the conference league is if we don't win our own league, so hopefully we never play in it lol..

Europe is a lottery no matter how well Brendan is backed.
