Remarkable in this day and age to see a young player have such an unprofessional social media presence especially one joining a high profile club like Celtic. Must exist in a bubble in Norway to never have been pulled up on it before.

He's 20 so maybe he can grow out of his backwards views, but that account needs shutting down he represents our club now and he better no keep giving us a rid neck.

 

Folk wanting his contract terminated because he’s liked a Tweet stating men can’t get pregnant.

 

Yeah, surely he’d have discussed Celtic’s maternity policy when signing his contract. You’d have thought by that point he’d have a realised men can get pregnant.

 

Folk aren't calling for his contract to be terminated, but for his social media to be shut down, which is totally fair. In fact, it's the norm. Most companies with a big public image will have internal rules on what can and cannot be posted on personal social media profiles - it's nothing new. I'd be shocked if we see any more of those kinds of likes from him from here on in.

 

There’s posts in this thread asking for him to ‘get to *’ and more elsewhere about the club being able to get out the deal.

It’s absolutely mental. May be minor bad press now, but I guarantee supporting such things now will result in horrendous press in a few years’ time.

 

He's a young guy in a bubble at the moment, hopefully the club will open his mind a little bit . It's a worry however as Ange was keen to bring in the right people personality and mentality wise, seems in contrast to guys like Jota,kyogo, Johnston etc

Aye, but some people seem to be saying that the other players brought in by Ange have different opinions etc, when in all honesty, we don’t know. They might feel the same way. I agree the club should advise him on this sort of thing, and they will. The likelihood is though, he probably won’t be the only player in the team with a similar view on this sort of thing.

 

As soon as a man gets pregnant, I'll consider hounding him, but I"m not going to hound him for "liking" a statement of fact.

It’s particularly ugly because it’s a young, wealthy footballer who will (through no fault of his own) be living in a complete bubble.

You can’t condemn a young bloke for having some daft opinions on things. We all change over time.

Completely against the guys tweets but we were also against the views of Nir Bitton and I cant recall anyone talking about that in his later years with us it seemed to be forgotten pretty quickly.
