    It’s definitely ‘*’, but surely there’s flexibility on jobby/jobbie (especially if you have IBS).

    This appointment makes sense on multiple levels.

    For starters, obviously Rodgers knows the joint, and the club knows him, good and bad. Neither are unknown quantities to each other.

    But I think he provides continuity on a football philosophical level to Postecoglou. There are differences but there are many similarities in the way they see the game. And that allows for a more seamless transition on two levels: what's expected of the players and Rodgers being able to work with them to achieve his goals.

    Big difference IMO is man-management and player motivation. Postecoglou would have to be one of the best going around at getting his squad to buy in to his brand, and be willing to run through walls for him.
