The very idea that we were EVER a team that was 25 points in deficit to the Huns is stupid... They won a season that should never have been played, during which they started their no penalties/red card type legacy, we got *-* over every COVID restriction imaginable, including being literally unable to catch them because of the games behind, while they threw parties and noone but youth team players got affected, they somehow managed to be the only team to get no COVID cases while also being the only one to ship their samples to another country for testing and we were lead by an individual who had a well-documented mental health concern amidst the most depressing and restrictive time in recent history, while also having a player transfer embargo enforced on us that tumbled our program for changing up the squad and * off those who wanted to leave.

In short it was a perfect storm of bad for us, and clear skies for the Huns.

I said at the time, a competent manager and fans back in the stadium and we'd be back inside a year... And that's exactly what happened. That year was a flash in the pan for the Huns. Absolute flattery to deceive. Hence theirs, and Gerrard's comeuppance the moment we reasserted ourselves. Ange being excellent was just a bonus

McGinn more than any standout as I think he would have come, Schar had a cheap buy out but was waiting until after the WC for a PL team which they did. I'm not sure Castagne would have come either.
We did need to spend though and there were just far too many loan deals and not many paid off. Only really Eddy, Roberts was already here. He never had much more than 10m to spend even after selling Dembele, Armstrong and getting money from the Van Dijk sale.

no in the park I’ll be supporting the team as I have for over 40 years and I’ll let the snake know my feelings as he’s slithering towards the team coach. Ohhh and frank massive apologies for getting the competition wrong when he * off to Leicester trying to take ALL the coaching and sports science departments with him leaving us in a worst state than just him leaving.
Some good things may happen with his, the snakes return like our absentee landlord getting serious about investment for European competition but it’ll never detract from his, that snakes midnight flit.
Ohhh and also frank I repeatedly refer to him as snake as I remember your recent pished rant about huns nicknames

I know how you feel; but he's here and he deserves a chance to redeem himself the same as anybody else. It really won't help and might actually hurt if people start giving him verbal abuse. We need a positive and motivated Rodgers.

Give him a chance to make it up, mate.

Abusing him will achieve nothing, we need to unite behind the team..

Still in shock that 3 weeks ago Ange is manager and today it's Rodgers.

    * surreal man... I just really hope with the new direction the club seem to be going in, a guy like Rodgers is made to solely focus on what is on the pitch as I do think in that respect he could continue the level of success we've seen recently

The same coaches and sports science department that he brought in? That's part and parcel of not just modern football, but most sports, even getting more and more common in the workplace.

Think people need to get of their high horse and just accept the fact. Like what you've said already you support Celtic as a football club, absolutly no point whatsoever in shouting * at the manager. As long as he delivers on the pitch that's all you should care about.

Been supporting them for 40 years and yet sounds like you're gonna be acting like a wean. You honestly going to be shouting stuff at him after a win? Get a grip man.

Mad that this is all on the back of Peter Lawwell wheeling out the likes of Gordon Strachan in 2019 to stick the boot in Rodgers.

When I was 17, I went to uni. At that time (1994), mobile phones weren't really a thing and I used to use a payphone to call my family back home. I used to wait until 6pm to make the call because that was classed as "off-peak" and so was cheaper. For some reason, the same payphone that no-one had been using for the previous hour was always in use just when I wanted to use it! How could I be so unlucky?! All other things being equal, I'd expect to find the phone free most of the time. Clearly I was a bit narcassistic at 17 to fail to see what was happening but after a few weeks, the penny dropped and I realised that others were waiting until 6pm just like I was. Everything else wasn't equal.

Well, the logic is a bit like that with your argument above. You can't just assume that our low points total in the 2nd and 3rd seasons was independent of a weak Hun side who weren't pushing us. There are all sorts of plausible reasons why they might well be linked in some way.

Grown men waiting to stand and shout abuse at our manger whilst he is walking to the team bus :56:. For leaving the club years before due to not being fully backed.

    I’ve heard it all now.

I’ll say something, he has a massive pair of balls to have agreed to this. I’m not arsed either way, it’s all on him now to prove to us he deserves to be here.

I still hold a grudge against my parents walking out on me when I was 7.

Not as important as someone spilling your pint but I never had my first beer until I was 9 so...
