Signed on a rolling deal last time before signing an extended deal after the first season. Could easily.happen again.

    I'd take 3 successful years.

@McChiellini.. in response to your previous post from a closed thread..
Relegation zone with 10 games left. All the stats and Leicester's form would indicate that he was taking them down. We'll never truly know but I think they were probably getting relegated under him.

After the World Cup their form was:

    Played: 13
    Won: 2
    Lost: 9
    Drew: 2
    Goals For: 14
    Goals Against: 24

I see the Green Brigade is back to making everything all about them again.

    Is it 2011 again?

I’m all for the GB and side with pretty much everything they stand for HOWEVER if they throw their toys out the pram on this (which is going to benefit no one), they could end up with a lot of the support turning against them imo. Creating division before a ball is even kicked is utter * stupidity. Do I like BR for what he did to us? Absolutely not. But the appointment has been made so we need to get on with it. And the fact I don’t like him for what he did means I won’t get emotionally attached again which is definitely a positive.

Wasn't he trying to get fired long before this though?

Pretty sure he publicly criticized their board in interviews, and was clear he no longer wanted to be there.

Just seen the tweet. Was always the possibility..

I didn't want him back myself, but he's here now and I've been coming round to it more..

We have to just get behind him. We know what happened. There's no benefit in any division amongst the support. We have to just get behind him..

Kind of embarrassing themselves with that one, not sure what their intentions or aims are. Vast majority of people I know that have half a brain will get behind him and get over it.

Seems like it, not something you'd really use to defend him though.

Anyway let's hope he can wash away that last season with Leicester and bring us continued success.

While we all harbour resentment towards how he left and it's completely justified, we need to think about what digging up old problems does to the general feeling around the club.

Ange leaving us could have caused division but we kept it together relatively well. He wasn't my first choice but you can hardly blame the board for wanting him back.

Green Brigade are helping no one on this occasion and you can bet the SMSM will use it to try and cause division within the club. Silly from them in my opinion.

Cautiously optimistic, he himself has work to do to get everyone on board this time. He is walking into a far healthier situation though and will clearly have had assurances over recruitment.

    Let’s get to *’ work!

It's not defending him, but it's disingenuous to say he was due to be relegated when he clearly downed tools months prior. No one can go from 5th place finish to 8th and then suddenly relegation if they wanted to be there surely.

Edouard downed tools for us and we still knew he was a fantastic player

Disappointed personally, but glad it hasn’t dragged on. Time to prepare for the new season.

Everything points towards us for once looking to strengthen from a position of strength the board had no control over Ange leaving and have made a strong appointment to replace him and I assume he has significant assurances over backing so why try and divide the support just now it's a * stupid stance for them to take

Well I'm not going to lie and say I'm thrilled, I really don't like bringing back players or managers as it so rarely works out, and I still have major concerns over his recruitment, but it's done now so * it, I hope he's successful while he's here. An invincible treble and a good showing in the CL would certainly be one way to get me fully on board!
