Barnes and Maddison look as if they're going for over £40m each. Absolutely mental money.

 

Hopefully looking at Germany for a keeper. They all seem to be good with the ball at their feet, must be taught at youth level over there.

 

Josip Sutalo CB Dinamo Zagreb. Croatian International, only 23 yrs old. If we have the money to spend that's who I'd be going for to go alongside CCV in defence. Why we don't scout more in Croatia is beyond me.

 

Whats the deal with Sorloth that was playing against Scotland last night ? RB Leipzig bought him for €20m then ended up on loan to Real Sociedad for 2 seasons.

Worth asking the question but I think the challenge will be persuading him to move to us and play outside the top 5 leagues. To a Croatian playing for Dinamo Zagreb they will view a move to Celtic as a sideway step at best.

I think that will prove a challenge across the board when trying to sign higher value players. It might take a few loan to buys in the Jota/CCV/ Edouard mould but then you always have the challenge if they are good they may not sign.

 

This is true but then he may just decide to stay where he is if we came in for him? You’ll never know if you don’t ask and I do think in terms of out and out goalkeeping he is what we need in Europe as our keeper is always going to be busy.

I know they're a big club themselves but don't think they have the finances we have. I'd definitely be interested in him as a replacement for Hart and I think his buy out clause is 9m euros. If we are wanting to splash good cash on another goalkeeper, he's definitely someone we should be looking at.

Andres Noppert is also someone I think we should be looking at. He was the Dutch number 1 during the world cup but has been replaced by the Feyenoord goalkeeper. Into the final year of his contract, decent age at 29. Should be all over him too.

 

Livaković has a timid, humble personality. It might be a reason why he's not left yet.

 

It’s hard to say on Dinamo Zagreb I would guess we could pay more but they are a club who have a questionable owner to say the least. He has been entangled in all sorts of dodgy deals with the Croatian FA.

They are however one who sells a main asset or two each season and often make big gains in their transfer activity. The fact he only has a year left on his deal would work in our favour.

They also have another young Croatian goalkeeper that was expected for big things in Nevistic to replace him so they may look to sell.

A keeper worth a look is Vladan Kovacevic of Rakow who won the Polish top league this year. He is meant to want to move on and is in a similar mould to the two keepers you mention.

In addition I like the look of Luiz Junior at Famalicao in Portugal who is also decent with the ball at his feet.

 

Would try for a loan for Wilfred Ndidi now that Leicester are down and Brendan is back. Only has a year left on his deal as well, but I imagine they’ll still want stupid money for a permanent deal. Loan for a year and then make a Bosman offer come Jan.
