As satisfying as that would be ha.. how much.. 9 million from Leicester? Start treating our managers like players..

So that's 14 million from Ange and Rodgers.. not bad..

It's difficult to be really long sighted when anyone who does well will be snapped up. We just have to adapt and bring in people who will continue being successful for us. I don't think it's anyone getting giddy, it's just a logical move for us at this point in time, assuming it does happen.

We should very obviously be looking to the future while the next manager is here, but again, it's very difficult to be completely prepared for a manager leaving in the manner Ange and Rodgers did.

Will anyone stop going to the games cos it’s Brendan Rodgers? Course they effin won’t. Get behind the team and wish him well. If he does well, we do well.

    DD can afford it :celt_smil

Would be worth 9 million to do a treble… get to a European semi or better…. then tell him to sling it.

I'm in complete agreement with @Lewis Kerr .

This WILL all end in tears.

Obviously he's a world class coach, and we're gonna see a sharp upturn in the development of players like Jota, Abada, Hatate etc. I wouldn't be at all surprised if we wipe it next season with treble under him either.

It's the reality of his limitations. I've already posted his European record; not made out of a CL group stage with 3 different CL sides, never made it past the Europa League last 32 with all three either. Over 500m spent at his last two EPL clubs.
His signing record and player management will absolutely come back to bite us.

If / when he gets appointed I'll back the club, back the players and back him to an extent too.

But the real fault lies with DD, and his short terminism.

We should be getting in a manager to continue what Ange has started, not bringing in an ego maniac to wipe the slate clean because of past domestic glories.

Poor decision. Nothing left to say.

Aye he'll ruin what Ange has created here. You can say goodbye to the exciting football, savvy signings, squad harmony, the feel-good factor amongst the fans, the ability to sell players at the right time, the fearlessness in Europe.

    All of it. Done.

This is it. The whole Ange thing has changed our expectations as fans. Nobody it seems is beyond a move to more lucrative pastures.
Personally hope Beale never gets his next big move because that means he is winning * all here..

Can we win 5 or 6 nil AND call him names and criticise and stuff?

That would be the ideal scenario.

Personally if there's a sharp upturn in the development of our players and we win another treble or two I won't mind shedding a few tears, mate :giggle1:

It will end in tears if you allow it to.

We all know what he is about now,and with what Ange done to us also not many Celtic fans will be attached to any manager ever again...including this one...again.

The positives are...he has a team ready to go,we dont need to play CL qualifiers,we have money in the bank,he knows how to win.

Negatives...There is a chance he will * off yet again when the right team come calling,he has already split the support.

Another positive for me is that hes been down South now and tried and tested it. He knows what this club is like in terms of Atmosphere etc...I assume he will stay a lot longer than people think if successful this time around.....and if not....well its expected....So we move on again.

There's already interest in Maresca, Faraoli, Iraola etc from clubs down south and in bigger leagues than ours without them even being here.

Imagine they come here and within 1-2 seasons have success. They'd be offski too as I've said.

Ange got the spurs job off the back of doing pretty much zero in Europe. If that's what can be done then other managers will be in a great position if they manage even 1 or 2 upsets.

Personally I'm fine with a 2-3 year lifespan of a gaffer if it means we continue to get success which, in turn continues to attract the best coaches around to the job. Even if they see us as a 'stepping stone'. I'm over it. And our support needs to finally accept where we are in modern football.

Presumably that is just the sportsbook ? I am on now and he can still be backed at 1.2.
