I’m guessing the golf thing is just another guess and no one actually know why he’s here?

In my head, it was closer than that. I guess that is my mistake. Yes, a 10-point gap is not down to luck, so I was wrong.

I still think Spurs and Leicester are different propositions. For a manager like Ange, their higher ceiling makes them much more difficult to turn down. Leicester were always unlikely to repeat that. I mean, they immediately lost their best player to Chelsea, for example.

I wish you wouldn't call him that. It's unecessary and quite annoying.

    Aye it's hun patter.

Folk are annoyed fair enough, but I think it's * to talk about managers who were outstanding for us. Won all he could this season domestically. Walked into the sunset.

    Well according the the odds

    Rodgers is 4/9 now
    Enzo M 5/2

the rest are 14/1 and upwards

His return will be like having a fight with the misses when the family and friends are visiting all done through smiling clenched teeth. The press will be grilling him non stop, and looking for negative quotes from anyone willing to give them

    You’re making conflicting statements here.

You come across like a bit of a fanboy, who is seeing what you want to see. While at the same time admitting that what he produced wasn’t good enough.

Also, throwing in strawman arguments about parking the bus… like it’s a simple straight choice between crazy hung ho naive football… or cattenaccio… ffs!

I don’t think most people would disagree with the need to have a particular style of play that we gain experience with and learn to get better results over time.

The question is whether the crazy “we never defend” style was the appropriate system to achieve that goal… I personally don’t think it was, and unlike you I didn’t see any progress over 2 full euro campaigns.

And that’s enough for me to make a solid assessment of what I’m looking at. Most managers don’t even get 2 full campaigns to show they can produce a system that gets solid results at that level.

Defending properly is a must at European level. It’s not even about styles of play or footballing philosophies etc.

Any manager that sends his team out to attack in a reckless manner, and leave big gaps that are easily exposed… they don’t have a clue what they’re doing at that level. It’s really that simple for me. And that’s what we’ve witness these last 2 seasons.

    I think it’s very necessary!

The man is a heart attack waiting to happen… although I think he’s more likely to be involved in a car crash at Spurs tbh! :101:

Spurs lose their best players without even winning anything… Modric, Bale etc.

At least you’re honest enough to admit this stuff is “in your head”… rather than being based on solid logic.

Leicester City fully deserved their title win, and were better than everyone else that season. No if buts or maybes…

Spurs… basket case of a club. With their big arrogant * you stadium. They win the d!ck measuring contest, hands down, but nothing else of substance!
