Leicester, Arsenal, Spuds, Everton or * Bournemouth.. it doesn't matter who is the biggest..if a Premier league team come for our players or manager they are offski... I know its hard to take but that's just life in Scottish football.. we cannot compete financially.. end of.

Spuds are about to spend 40 million on a keeper, we just gave Scott Bain a 3 year contract.. levels unfortunately

Nae Rodgers in tow. That'll do me.

Didn't the rags say he was scheduled to meet Fraudgers in London?

Hopefully he's here to listen to other * people, and not plough ahead with his plans to stand still.

    2 things:

First of all, I agree that they aren't the biggest club in north London, Arsenal are; but they are still one of the biggest clubs in England. These 2 things aren't mutually excusive.

Secondly, it's a myth that the best team always wins the league. It's actually been looked at and it isn't true. What you can say is that when teams run away with the league, they are the best team and also that in eras like Manchester United in the late 90's and early 2000's or Manchester City over the past 5 years their dominance does reflect their being the best teams in those time periods; but individual seasons do still have a significant element of luck to it when it is close, like it was with Leicester.

After this season, look up regression to the mean and you'll find a picture of Leicester in the dictionary.

The best team over a season wins the league.. that's why we have a points system.. End of mate.

At the time when Rodgers took over Leicester they were premier league champions playing champions league football, Spurs are neither.

So at the time of Rodgers taking over Leicester they were in a better position than Spuds are when Ange took over.

And as I said Leicester have won more than Spuds over the past two decades.. I go by trophies to judge succes not big shinny stadiums in London.

    https://as.com/futbol/primera/iraola-se ... almeria-n/

"In the Almeria club they consider that it is time to take a step forward and nothing better than Iraola, who has already shown his worth in recent seasons. Everything will depend on whether or not the interest of foreign teams that have asked for the Basque, in the case of Olympique de Marseille, Celtic of Glasgow or Leeds United, comes to fruition, according to Diario de Almería . Almería has given him a few days of margin, with the intention of announcing the new tenant of his bench at the end of this week or, at the latest, at the beginning of the following one. Rubén Albés, Vicente Moreno and Eder Sarabia are in plan B."

My worry is with Leeds now on the scene with money to burn. They will likely give him what he wants and I'm sure he would take it...

Me too, if BR says no then I'm hoping it's Iraola...didn't he apply for it? hope it's true.

It's not "end of". Statisticians have actually looked at this. There is an element of luck involved when the league is moderately close and quite a lot of luck when it's very close. The best team does not always win the league.

Here's a way to think of it intuitively. Look at the Seville year. We lost the league on a goal difference of 1. Are you absolutely certain that Rangers were the best team that year?

Leicester City won the Premier League with ten points to spare..absolutey nothing lucky about it. It wasn't moderately close.

That season we had a UEFA cup run that probably affected our league finish.. no luck involved. The record book shows the huns won the league therefore considered the best team in the league that year.

Not accusing you of anything mate but you said you live in London, do ya have a soft spot for Spurs?

I don't live in London. I live in Sheffield. No soft spot for Spurs. I actually wanted Leicester to do it that year, just because of the romantic aspect of it! I don't support anyone in England, I more support individuals. I like Bielsa so wanted Leeds to do well while he was there. Didn't care either way after they sacked him. I dislike Arteta and KT wasn't playing, so wanted Manchester City to win the league.

Outside of Celtic, I don't really support anyone TBH.

Sorry I thought you said you lived in London. My bad.

There has to be some luck involved in winning any league Id imagine but Leicester won that league handy in the end. Their players all hit form at the right time.

My point is I don't think there is much difference in Rodgers leaving for Leicester as Ange did for Spurs apart from the manner in which it happened.
