So we have no chance if he says naw? There’s plenty options he’s the obvious one for assured success for at least 2 seasons, maybe 3.

I’d welcome him back in a second as much as I think he’s a narcissistic liar. * a great football coach. But he can’t have any input of our background set up, he destroyed it first time round.

‘Only’ option is daft but. Who the * knew Ange was the best option two years ago when Eddie Howe was the only option

Won’t stop any manager we could appoint, for one, anything we could offer is pennies to EPL teams who would willingly pay it if they were serious about it and two, most managers will force a move if they feel its right for them.

That’s the reality of where we are at. And if Ange does what we know he’s capable of at Spurs, it’ll get worse because it’ll be viewed as a successful proven strategy to get any successful manager from here. BR was damaged goods then done well with Leicester for 2/3 years, if Ange does it then it’s a proven track record.

Shouldn’t make a difference but it’s the way clubs work.

My sentiments entirely buddy. I’ve supported The Club through all the years the DOB’s were the dominant team, due to spending money they didn’t have. I do admit to changing my mind on Rogers being reappointed. I’ve since thought about it, and maybe we do need a safe pair of hands at this time.

Celtic are a special club, and whoever gets the gig should be backed to the hilt by the best supporters en el mundial.

    Hail Hail.

I don't know if Rodgers would see a return as a retrograde step in his managerial career, bearing in mind he thought we would be privilged to have a PL manager at Celtic first time around, not even sure he would have the appetite for it.

He seemed to get bored after the first season. It’s easy to forget but the football was really poor for huge spells while he was here. I see this as the distinction between Ange and Rodgers actually.

Maybe it’s because Rodgers wasn’t getting players he wanted so lost interest. I don’t know really.

Going by the vote it's nearly 50 -50 and thought it would split the support and still think if the board have the right approach we get a decent manager with a proven track record and not relying on taking back the rat and he is a * rat .

Trying to tell myself it's better to get Rodgers in the next few days than * about for a weeks when we might end up with him anyway.

    So far it's not working.

He gives you that feeling that he is talking alot of *, but funny enough, about all his ex players are talking him up big time. Even the players at Leicester such as Maddison really liked him and bigged him up.

I think our players would love to work under a manager his calibre, especially when they most likely are feeling down that Ange left.

I think you're right about that. Realistically, either him or Moyes are probably the biggest names we could reasonably attract.

it doesn't bother me to much where or not Rodgers is manager or not, as long as he keeps winning trophys

If he does come back he either needs to never give and interview or proper lean in to it and play up to it.

I honestly don't know how I feel I would take him over Maresca but then at the same time I would take Potter, Knutsen and possibly Iraola over him

Absolute weapon of a guy, but demonstrably a good manager. Want Knutsen/Potter but would definitely take Rodgers.

Fucksake you would think some decent managers would want the job now most people are saying it's between the rat and a rookie manager who's Peps assistant it's a depressing choice and we are in the group stages of the champions League and treble winners * sake .

Rodgers as mentioned above the players speak highly of him. Just ask our current captain what he thinks - McGregor loved working with Brendan

Unfortunately we are also in Scotland. However having said that a lot of ambitious managers would have their eye on the EPL and Ange and to an extent Rodgers have shown you can move to a decent EPL team after a good spell with us.

I have no problem with any manager using us like that, as long as they bring us succes whilst here

If Rodgers does indeed come back, no one should be surprised if he ends up leaving prematurely again.

Also fully expect the support to be pretty divided over it, with the naysayers jumping on any draw or defeat.

Rodgers has also shown that you can go from us to the epl and fail… in fact being sacked is inevitable it’s just a case of when..

Still doesn’t halt the ‘grass is greener’ philosophy from them. Or is it ‘bank is richer’ ?

10 years ago the average epl manager lasted 4 years. And that was buoyed up by the long spells by the likes of Ferguson and Mourinho …

Now I believe it has just dropped under 2 years… and only going in one direction.

He was here longer than Ange was.
