It's * all to do with penny pinching, it's about progressing the club going forward with innovative coaching, which Maresca would bring. Lack of experience would be the biggest issue with him, not how much he would cost.

I'd be more fearful of Farioli then I would Maresca.

    Neither fill me with confidence.

So not paying rodgers wages and high costing transfer targets has nothing to do with money

I was sure it would be Maresca... Now I'm thinking it's Rodgers.

There are both positives and negatives to this.

Can't say that I'm not a wee bit excited about it tbh. He's a fantastic coach but a bit of a bell end.

I'm probably jumping the gun again :84:

A cuntish * egomaniac that happens to be a fantastic coach and manager. He would bring success, and i could not give a * about his personality as long as he does just that :50:

He is a top class manager and his CV show that. There is zero debate about it. Done very well at the highest level.

Look at it like this - If Ange win the FA cup with Tottenham, he will be hailed as a genius (fair enough) but Rodgers won it with fkn Leicester. And finished top 5 twice and almost won the league with Liverpool.

Sorry were you at the meeting? Was Rodgers told he would cost too much?

Such a lazy position to take. We've had two club reps fly out in a private jet to meet the guy ffs, you don't do that if you're not serious about possibly bringing the person in.

I think if Rodgers did come back he'd have to accept that part of our business model is developing players and selling them on at a profit.
So if he gets another "Shved" he doesn't spit the dummy out and at least gives him a chance.

Think they knocked him back. He didn't impress in his interview

Bit of pace around the whole Rodgers thing now tbh.

I'm at the point where I'd be surprised if it wasn't him.

Though it is the rat we are talking about so he would have no problem saying no thanks after weeks of talks.

The huns would * their pants if Rodgers came back. They * hated him and celebrated wildly when he left. Even more than Ange.

Maresca isn't being linked with a coaching job. He is being linked with a job that primarily involves tactical management of the team. The one time he tried his hand at it, he failed.

The guy is at Beale's level as a manager.

Sorry but did I say that Rodgers wasn’t getting the job my response is a hypothetical one if maresca gets the job then it’s been because he’s the better option financially

I really don't want Rodgers back... maybe I'm shifting the blame too much his way given who took over from him.

But I feel like a lot of what went wrong squad wise stemmed from his mismanagement of players
