I might be wrong, but don't Liverpool have a transfer committee who deal with signings? Either way that's a lot of average players for a lot of money.

Even worse when you consider Rodgers didn’t want Firmino and it was Michael Edwards who pushed through with it and led to a falling out which was the beginning of the end for Rodgers at Liverpool.

There's no argument to be had regarding his transfer record. It's been * at Liverpool, Leicester and here.

It's a massive risk giving him millions to spend.

Biggest concern I've had since the minute we knew Postecoglou was off, was whether or not the board would go through the hiring process in a thorough and professional manner.

Don't think there can be any debate, they have certainly done that. So whatever option they go with I'll be happy with.

If Ange does well at Spurs then we will have trouble holding on to any manager who is successful with us after a season.

We had this conversation as a fanbase before he came the first time.

His transfer record is a concern but we'd have to hope that it's something that will be discussed during his contract negotiations and with Mark Lawwell.

In the market we operate especially, most managers will be tested to be 90% accurate tramsger wise. We struck gold with Ange.

Things have changed in the 4 years since he's gone. I jave a lot more confidence with Nicholson and Lawwell junior in there.

If the recruitment is bad, I'm blaming our transfer/recruitment department, not Rodgers.

We should really be the ones providing targets for Rodgers to choose from, and working with him to identify areas in the squad where we need improvement. Having a look at who Ange signed, other than Mooy and the Japanese players, the rest were surely identified on our end and I would imagine it would be similar for Ange.

Just, for the love of *, don't bring Congerton back.

Remember his belter of a lie about Chelsea scouts saying they watched Musonda at Betis terrorising Real Madrid. Then turned out he never played against them :56:

Can't wait for his new material..

    Brendan Rodgers Leicester signings:

    Youri Tielemans - €45m
    Wesley Fofana - €35m
    Ayoze Pérez - €33.4m
    Patson Daka - €30m
    Timothy Castagne - €20.9m
    Boubakary Soumaré - €20m
    Dennis Praet - €19.2m
    Jannik Vestergaard - €17.6m
    Wout Faes - €17m
    Harry Souttar - €17m
    Victor Kristiansen - €14m
    James Justin - €6.7m
Cengiz Ünder - €3.5m (Loan Fee)
    Callum Hulme - Free
    Ryan Bennett - Loan
    Ryan Bertrand - Free
    Alex Smithies - Free
    Ademola Lookman - Loan
    Tetê - Loan

Brendan Rodgers bought 19 players for €279,300,000... Only 4 were 'successful', two of whom are injury prone (Justin and Castagne).

    Any more evidence needed?

Mate it's no question that his transfers at Liverpool, Celtic and Leicester have been an absolute disaster. He left each club in a ridiculously * state (Lennon somehow signed even worse afterwards).

I don't see how Rodgers will start signing good players all of a sudden when he's NEVER done it, even with the likes of Nicholson and Lawwell Jr.

And let's be honest, most of our successful signings were all probably identified by Ange. Do we even know the extent of their input?

Giving Rodgers the keys to our transfer kitty will be a catastrophe.

Yeah, Liverpool were famous for it at the time.

If you look at a list of the names mentioned, Rodgers will have the best CV.

And yet he's managed to have relative success at all 3 clubs. There's managers out there that have spent all that and more and not achieved anything close to what BR has done. Imagine what he could do if he could spot a player, ooft!

His 'success' at Leicester is overstated. Yes he won an FA Cup but his two 5th place finishes that get praised to * were massive bottle jobs. You could argue he did 'well' to get them there but he bottled 4th place two years in a row from strong positions.

Everyone knows Rodgers is good at utilising the talent that's already there. That's what he's done at every club.

The downside is his horrific eye for a player, toxic persona and stale football after a year or two. Liverpool fans are indifferent to him, most of us dislike the man, and Leicester fans hate him.

    See a pattern?

You're being quite harsh. How many other FA Cups have Leicester won?
