Yeh to put it into context they have spent 522 million euros that’s after taking off what they received in fees they turn over according to Deloitte 530 million … their wages to revenue ration is close to 80 per cent so they spend upwards of 380-400 million a year on wages leaving 100-150 million in transfer budget a season but I’d say their wages for this season must be close to 90 per cent of revenue

Meaning they have literally spent 3-4 years worth of transfer budget

Should be a maximum of £50mn for transfer and players contract including match playing bonuses.
Not win bonus
Eg: Player signed for £25 mn on 5 year contract of £5mn a season.
Would only be able to get extra from win bonus.
Only player to pay agent.
Selling and buying club ordered not to give money to agent under any circumstance.

 

Pay cap would be maximum percentage of annual income on salaries rather than a fixed amount. It actually helps the wealthy clubs while appearing as if they are doing something as smaller clubs can't invest in the future.

 

What does that mean mate?

 

If as said revenue for next season is €5Bn why not divide it as follows

CL = 78 clubs - €2.5 Bn = €35,256,410 approx each
EL = 58 clubs - €1.5 Bn = €25,862,069 approx each
ECL = 177 clubs- €750,000,000 = €4,237,288 approx each.
This is just appearance and tv money NOT for wins and draws or progress through the competition.

 

It means they aren't capping the most you can pay a player or a maximum amount for your squad. Let's say your income is £200m, and they set a 60% pay cap that means you can spend 120m salaries across the whole squad.

 

Alexis Mac Allister for £35m is a bargain these days.
