    Whoever comes in needs to be very good at identifying and attracting players.

    I predict we will end up having a bigger overhaul of players than the Huns this summer.

    Kyogo, Hatate and Maeda are all odds on to leave IMO. CCV will be attracting interest.

    he only got a 2 year deal last April so he’s into his last year , just thinking who could be that’s not in the betting , has previously been linked and would look at it as a job to rebuild his rep with a team that is set up for him

    We'll find out a lot over the next few days. If nothing comes out about Maresca you'd think we must be lining up someone else. With no movement on Rodgers so far that hopefully rules him out too.

    Who knows, we might just get our Knutsen or Iraola after all.

    Problem with Maresca is he is probably a long term project name. Look at Arteta as an equivalent - it takes 2 or 3 years to get anywhere close.

    Appointing him would probably mean we would have to concede the league next year. Don’t think that is the position we should be in.

    Unless we go into administration, we should NEVER be in the position where conceding the league for a year or two is a genuine possibility. No * way. There'd be riots and quite rightly so. Rangers are * bang average so we just need to do what we have done in the last two years but do it better (see Europe).

    We have one single challenge for this league. We quite literally need to better their results over a 38 game season, playing cannon fodder along the way.

    This isn't a time for a project. We could have rebuilt the entire club from top to bottom when the huns were in the lower leagues but stuck with Lennon and then got Deila on the cheap (who did bring in some forward thinking ideas tbf). Back then was the time for a proper rebuild but we squandered it.

    You're acting as if they've all got a year left on their contracts and we need to sell. They are all on lengthy contracts, we hold all the cards in that respect.
