Ange Postecoglou

Not many people know this but Ange enjoys a nice packet of dry roasted peanuts.

 

Will he have any control over his signings at spurs? Does he have any experience in that near top tier market he is now shopping in? Will he adapt his style to suit the premier league? If the answer to any of those questions are no I can't see it going well for him. He's in a scrap for every point now.

Well probably never fund out what was going on behind the scenes and when spurs made contact. For me, he stayed to the end of the season, won us the treble then announced he was leaving. Did nothing wrong in my eyes although I wanted him to stay.

 

It's been laid out for us in detail in two offical articles now pal. Wake up and smell the coffee. You don't have to be mad at him (though why any Celtic fan would be ok with our club being used like that is lost on me) but you also don't have to call a spade a hose.

 

He goes with my blessing sad to see the manager go but more so the man I do think he fell for the club but has ambition to get to England leave us in such a strong position for what it's worth I hope he does incredibly well and we are him in the dug out again

He didn’t let the board know until last minute when he should have let them know he could possibly be leaving so we had a plan catered to him if he was actually transparent the we would have a new manger now and probably done transfers done he’s basically put next season at jeopardy the way he’s went about it

Unfortunately it's the way it is mate. If a team like Spurs come in for any of our future managers (or players for that matter) the chances are they're gone.

 

They didn't come for him, he came for them.

And I'm well aware of the pull of clubs like Spurs thanks pal. As I and others have said it's the sleekit way he went about it that leaves a sour taste.

If your happy for our great club to be used like that fill yer boots. I'll carry on demanding better for Celtic. I just want the new guy in now. * Postecoglou.

We can guess, but only things we do know for sure did happen is that he stayed till the end of the season, and won the league and won two cups, at the end of it.

 

No he left them in the lurch far more than he did Celtic, and yet they *still* sent him off with thanks and gratitude.

 

If the new guy comes and kills it in Europe you don't think his agent will be looking out for him too? And if the new guy is not tied down to a contract ( a risk to the club...) then what's to stop them going, mid-season even?

Ambition and money drives football these days.

 

Of course he will and if he goes about it in the same sleekit way while leading the club on and blind siding us I will feel the same about him as I do Ange. If however they are straight I'll look on him quite charitably.

There is no good time for a successful manager to go to the board and say he wants to leave. What would you like him to do. At least you have the off season to get the manager you want, you have a settled squad, you are playing good football. I am not sure he could leave Celtic in a stronger position. As for who becomes the manager you have 5 names in the top drawer of Dermott Desmonds desk any time he is looking for a new manager, or so I have been led to believe.
You could have given the role to Kennedy who I am sure would do a much better job than the last time he had he reigns, but as it turns out he will likely leave with Ange.
