Who could we replace Ange with?

I appreciate Ange might be the exception to the rule but I still feel like he's pretty much proved a point about the type of manager we need.

That is, someone who has achieved regular success at pretty much any club he's been at. That may be incredibly limiting pool to select from but it is something I think we need to be focusing on.

The Pep assistant is an utterly terrifying prospect especially when his only real foray into management was horrendous.

Honestly, I'd much rather have Ronnie back with these modern age players then Maresca

 

Or maybe they know none of us would want Maresca. So they throw his name out to make Rodgers suddenly look much more appealing.

Interesting, if thats the case, then I suspect they would want him to have some managerial miles under his belt before he does that. So coming to celtic and building on a Treble winning team and squad would be a good place to start.

 

hope not , plenty of experience but ultimately ends in being sacked , been at some big clubs earlier in his career but a massive journeyman ,

for a 35 year managerial career he has won very little

Bookies’ odds are incredibly volatile, but Ange appeared in their list out of nowhere and surged to the top before the press caught wind. I only tend to take note of them when something like that happens.

Does look like a shootout between Maresca and Rodgers now, unfortunately. Knutsen, Potter and Iraola are all better candidates.

Has to be said that maresca has a rich playing career on his cv worked under quite few manager and big names

Played for juve was on park when we beat them in cl before that played in England for West Brom played for fiorentina then won 2 uefa cups with Sevilla qualified for cl with Malaga

maresca would be a ridiculous appointment ,he may well be a brilliant coach but its everything else at the club which needs that same level of expertise .ange appeared to be across every department and left the coaching to the coaches ,maresca looks to me like a board not willing to hand out much control
