If the stories are true that Iraola has applied just goes to show the club is a more attractive prospect that relegated epl clubs because I’m pretty sure Leeds would be hoping to get him

Aye it’s been mentioned in a few places he gets at least 10% of player sales money.

 

Even if that was still the case and he was getting 10% of the sales, he still wouldn't be on Premier League Salaries. Don't even think he would be on Celtic level salaries.

Postecoglu was on about £3m a year according to some places. Bodo have had a few decent sales over the last few years but if it were the case that he was getting 10%, he would have made just over £2.5m in additional money from sales, out with his salary over the last 4 seasons. Not mega money in the footballing world.

It's also very unlikely that is the deal. 10% of profit? Possibly, but there is no chance they are paying a manager 10% of a transfer fee. If it was 10% of any profit, it would drop significantly.

Not a bad manager by the way. Done very well to rebuild them after they lost 3 or 4 really top players in the last couple of seasons.

Stengs, Boadu, Koopmeiners and Wijndal all left within a year and he's kept them very competitive.

Only 2 points behind Ajax and 8 points behind PSV. Obviously Feyenoord ran away with it.

 

He has done alright to be fair. Hard to win the league as Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord all have far bigger budgets but he has had them competing for titles

CL will always be attractive, especially for a manager who hasn't had Europe or had a budget that Celtic could offer. Aren't Leeds a mess though, were going to be bought if up but the owner wants shift and won't get what he wants

 

Corberan seems to be the favourite for the Leeds job. They are also apparently after Rodgers but can't see that happening.

 

Some decent names linked hoping they're genuine links too. Bit more hopeful than some of the names that have stuck to us since 2009.

Yeah us taking to long and * about gives me the fear that well just go with John Kennedy, this guy iraola sounds good, I'd really like us to continue with the style Ange has introduced, and a big name manager doesn't guarantee success, so id look for another gem like Ange, ambition is a good attribute and Ange seemed very ambitious

 

Just to be clear Alkmaar during his tenure are plus £63.5m in terms of player trading. They have also developed players that you mention above and always seem to have talent from their academy.

In addition they made some cracking signings Pavlidis, Karlsson, Sugawara, Kerkez, Mijnans and Odgaard have all been good signings sub €4m and all worth a lot more now.

They have also done well in lesser Euro competition during his tenure.

Much like Knutsen this has all been done at a small club. AZ Alkmaar are about the size of Aberdeen.

The one thing that is missing though is a history of winning anything.

 

If Corberan is available, we should be all over it.

Signed a new 5 year deal in March last time he was linked to Leeds so would need to pay compensation but WBA are a disaster of a club who are close to administration so think if any club came i. for him they would release him and bank the money. Probably one of the main reasons for renewing his deal.

Has all the atributes we should be looking at in a new manager imo. The state they were in when he arrived he had to adopt a win by any means available approach so would probably welcome a team like us where he would have space to set up a system of his own.

Think he is Leeds bound though.
