Why don't you just leave people to feel bitter and annoyed in peace? Why does how other people feel towards the man that used our club bother you? Do you think you going "aye but" any time someone dares to express their annoyance is going to change how they feel? I'm not going to think that Ange is any less of a lying, opportunistic baw bag because JamesM09 on talkceltic said he's not. Likewise I don't expect you to change your mind on him.

You feel how you feel, I feel how I feel and the world kept on turning.

Come on man. He's won a treble and decided he will move on. He's entitled to quote who he wants. People need to get a grip. You'd think he'd left mid-season or cost us a trophy ffs. These types of complaints are what make me think people are just raging he didn't stay and scrambling for unreasonable criticism.

Someone else was saying he shouldn't have pounded his chest in celebration. I mean for * sake.

Well I'm glad he never publicly said he'd been approached by Spurs, because that would've been a * thing to do while the club and fans are preparing to win a treble.

Honestly you have to complete disregard common sense to think this would've been okay. There would've been calls to tell him to * off and let John Kennedy take the team.

If you're saying he should've approached his employer to tell he was interested .. it's just so naive there's not much to say on it. That's just the way these things go.

    Here we go.

I'm sorry to inform everybody we won the treble.

Hawl, no smiling in the back! We've to be depressed as * and act like we've not had an amazing season.

I think people are looking for some reason to hate him because they can't take the rejection, so they're jumping on these rumours.

I would think yes as there will be contracts signed and money paid for games to be planned. Just hope all our players from japan dont leave before then or it will be a pointless event.

The Athletic have done a detailed blow by blow piece on their search for a manager. Lays it all out, Ange been in the mix since the start of their search in March. They wanted a manager that could change the culture of the club. Round 1 interviews were done the first week of May so as we were gearing up for crucial matches against Rangers and Hearts Ange was gearing up to audition for his new job.

And yet his approach seemed to work brilliantly. Brought us sustained success during his time here. Plus no crazy stories coming out of the club about unhappy players, in-fighting, etc. The only player who seemed to be unhappy was GG, which had to do with playing time and/or contract issues. Possibly Abada for similar reasons, although he himself denied that.

I get the displeasure at the manner of his departure, but the dude is gone now, all focus is on the new guy, we have to look forward.

    Thanks.

Maybe more will come out but I'm not sure sure we can ever verify this stuff.

I'm glad you've said this because I'd like to explain.

People don't wan't a discussion forum, they want an echo chamber were everyone agrees because they angry he's left.

    Why do I care?

Because when I came on this forum after celebrating the treble, the first comment I genuinely seen was someone saying this record breaking treble was TAINTED because Ange has left.

He's been a good manager for us, it's been a great two years. Disappointment in him leaving is valid, of course it is, but if we let this * narrative that there's been excessive underhandedness then we'll be left in the same situation we are with Rodgers and Lennon, where we need to temper any talk of that period because of the * BOGEYMAN manager that some of you are building.

    That's why I care.

With Rodgers it was obvious he was a rat. Lennon was clearly not right for the job.

It's been a good period under Ange. Some criticism is valid for leaving after only two years but we don't need another bogeyman because you're bitter. Why shouldn't I discuss my view in the thread? Just to interrupt your bashing session?

Is that where we beat Rangers when it mattered in a semi final, then beat hearts to win the league?

Only to lose to Rangers when there was * all on the line? Where we had Ralston Bernabei and Kobayashi in defence.

Yeah * crucial and season changing that game was wasn't it... can't believe we lost the meaningless game after winning the league trophy final and missed the chance to make a DVD about the quadruple.

Just handed that trophy over to Rangers so we did.

You say this like it is verifiable fact. Are you his missus or were you hid under the bed during the zoom call?

Aye you're right our manager distracted chasing his next job the week leading to a crucial cup semi final (narrow 1-0 victory below par performance) and a title deciding match (0-2 victory and below par performance) really showed his commitment to us didn't it?

If he was more open * would complain at that as well. He has done the right things considering the situation. It would be pure neglect to not plan ahead with the club he is at, might never have got the spurs job and the club would have been aware of the situation

We all agree about the opertunity, he coulda spoke to the board and let them get a head start for a new manager ,that's where I have an issue and the playing to us fans with false gestures.....he knew we appreciate honesty and integrity above all else but kept our hopes of something better ahead at peak while looking to jump ship , 2 things now stand out to me , Harry kewel appointment and the public dig on trophy day title about "lucky man " he would not have been so public about that in that way I feel .....was kewel brought in as potential cover for him , who knows ended badly and for me deserves the same br treatment, sold us a dream of leading us to the promised land and went by himself.
