Rafa is a dinosaur, his football isn’t very good, he is extremely negative and he was absolutely rank rotten at Everton too.

His time has come and gone and would be a disaster.

Agree with this, as much as I'd love him to be manager, his track record doesn't make good reading. I would like him to be part of the coaching team though. Would be inspiring for younger players and his experience would be useful for whoever comes in as manager.

Rodger’s is a great coach, will improve players and play a good style of football.

However, he can’t spot a signing to save himself, he’s got a huge ego and I think he puts himself before everything, he’s been here before and in the end it was toxic as * and he’s got a 2 year cycle before it goes to * (sure, the average length of our managers these days, but I couldn’t see us sacking him unless it was really bad).

I’d just rather we went for someone new, Rodgers ticks most of the boxes and I’d back him if we signed him but personal preference would be to look elsewhere.

He's 51 and has been without a club since he left the Assistant Manager post at Barca. Can't see him ever building a managerial career where he'd become a candidate for us.

    I disagree.

He’s only 63, which is not much older than the fat Aussie. Still seems very sharp when you hear him analysing the game on Tv.

A guy with his ability would walk all over that arrogant little novice they hired at castle greyskull… would be a total mismatch and great fun to watch!

But like I said, probably not even in contention with our chairman. It’s probably unlikely that we could afford his wages anyway.

Wouldn't surprise me if Ange recommended him and the board will consider it. Contrary to all reports I think Ange and the board left on good terms

I think I prefer him as a mythical figure, if he was to come back and the team di badly it wouldn't fare well on him. Stay a legend, make the rest of his career elsewhere, raw talent doesn't mean it translates to coaching. I can't really picture Ronaldo or Zlatan as a coach as another example, I could be completely wrong though we will see what happens especially with Zlatan now post retirement

Did you watch any of his games while at Everton? Have you seen the set up he uses? It’s negative as * even at Newcastle he played terrible football but kept it defensive so they could stay in the league.

MON still seems sharpe on the telly but I wouldn’t want him here either.

He would be an absolute shocking appointment.

In terms of Muscat, looking past his hun past, it's a coherent thought and continuation of Ange's playing style. Links wi Japan obviously which may help out Japaenese lads.

Wouldn't be my pick but board need to give it thought at least.

Rather we went for an actual Japanese manager.

Larsson was a brilliant player but just isn’t a manager. Can’t understand why his name comes up every time.

We should not rush this, looks like we are already narrowing down the options which is great but we’ve got time.

This is why we needed a DoF at the club, we could've had a manager lined up and ready to come in. Now seems like we'll be * about again.

He’s certainly not the worst option, done well in Japan and Australia after Ange, he wont be top choice but a good back up option.

Deceitful, cruel person who fits the Huns. I oppose him on moral grounds even though he is better than Maresca.

We don't need a Japanese manager to buy Japanese players, just good scouts..
