Whoever it is it needs to be soon. We need a manager in with a full preseason to buy and sell players otherwise thr board have failed us.

Henrik larsson.at least you would get honesty and loyalty from him.and before people say oh he has no extensive management experience .* experience .that man's whole career is full of experience. Get it done Celtic .I will be very disappointed with the names being banded about at the moment.HH

I think with people like iraola apparently throwing his name in the ring then fans would be questioning if it was marsh

I would agree to an extent.

When it comes to getting a manager in, I can only think of Mowbray and Lennon's second spell that we're failures over the last 23 years.

Henrik should not be here as manager. He is the king of kings, a man that I'd argue was the best in the world when he was here, he could have played for anyone and the fact he went to Barca and United shows that. He's not a manager though, it's not there for him.

Out of the names being seriously mentioned, Iraola is the only one that gives me any sort of excitement.

He’s managed in one of the biggest leagues. Kept a tiny club like Rayo comfortable in mid-table after promotion into la liga. His record against the big clubs is very impressive. Took some scalps and wasn’t shipping lots of goals, beat Barcelona home and away in his first season for example. Beat both Barca and real again in the league last season.

Which suggests he could possibly do the same job with us in big European games.

Probably wouldn’t demand huge wages either, considering he’s still a relative unknown in the game.

Not a fan of potter or Knutsen. Their records are overhyped. Maresca shouldn’t even be in contention based on his CV, but unfortunately you never know what Lawwell has in his head about him.

Moyes would be a safe option, but obviously not very exciting. Benitez would be my preferred option, but doesn’t look to be in contention all. MON would also be a safe option and do a solid job.

Yes it does it takes generations to build a fan base only takes a change of circumstances to change finances example if celtic get epl …. Or spfl get 100m a year or celtic asked to become part of a super league their finances instantly become better than Ajax and the reason behind this is celtic match day income that merch on the day ticket money hospitality is greater than Ajax so for instance celtic are in the Dutch league bang they will start to beat Ajax for player …. Match day income is a great indicator which clubs have fan power

It’ll be Maresca, and that’s shown in the club leaking his name to the press.

I keep reading really imaginative, ambitious appointments being suggested. Our board doesn’t work like that.

We found out yesterday - via Guardiola’s presser - that the rumour of Pep recommending Ange to Desmond on a golf trip was true. How small time and reckless. Then you’ve got the Lennon appointment.

But aye, I’m sure the idiots in the boardroom - who get paid a fortune and lauded by the support regardless of what they do - are scanning over footage of Rayo Vallecano or Brighton games.
