Everyone loved him so much and is hurt right now. Like when you've got a stunning 10/10 lassie with massive knockers that had dinner ready every night and would caress your face to sleep with those very knockers nightly but then "it's not me its you" line and we all go huffy and say * you then.. just your standard heart break defence mechanism.

Let's all just be happy it happened and move forward. What a roller coaster. Time to strap in for another roll of the dice. Just because ange stopped, doesn't mean we stop.

It no coincidence that they are going on a Australian tour he’s been in talks with them for some time and if that was the case then he deserves credit for waiting after the final what was sneaky is I dont believe dermot and co knew until mid way through may

One positive about Ange leaving as soon as our season is done is that it gives us as much time as possible to get a new manager in. Would’ve been far worse had it dragged out over the summer.

Agreeing a new deal with us in principal, letting us press ahead with his pre season plans while negotiating with Spurs on the fly behind our backs and blind siding us? Aye pretty cunty behaviour, cunty behaviour he has previous with. We aren't the first team he has shafted for his own gain.

He's gone now, we move on but if people want to vent their annoyance harmlessly on a forum Ange will never read let them do it in peace.

When Ange was appointed , I knew basically nothing of the man . But because of the success over the last two seasons , now that he's leaving I feel sadness and regret . I can't blame him , or anybody , for moving for mega bucks . I wish him well , but will stop short of wishing Spurs well ( my 3rd least favourite English club ). Hopefully we get a new manager in ASAP , pull off some decent deals in the transfer market , and get as much as possible for any players heading for the exit . It's so much better this happens at the start of the close season . Come on Celtic , let's consolidate our position of dominance !

Don't pretend you know that is true, outside Ange and the board no one really knows. Personally I don't think it's true and until it gets confirmed I'll stand by my opinion

They were a nightmare to deal with in regards to CCV though, with it even annoying Ange himself.

Think it's time this thread moved to ex players?

I can see the comments turning nastier as each day goes on. Less exposure on main forum might help!

I've already seen some nasty comments about him which IMO is totally out of order. Football supporters can be brutal and it validates why managers and players cal look out got themselves.

Ange is gone. I thank him for what he's did for us. I had another amazing day at Hampden with family and friends thanks to him and the players. I wish him well and hope he achieves great things in his career moving forward. He deserves it because he's a underdog on a mission and that, I have alot of respect for!

We draw a line under it. Move on to a new chapter in our celtic lives and in years to come, you's will all know he did the correct thing for him and his family while giving us some great memories.

As far as I'm aware McGrory1888 is a reliable source. Until I'm given reason to question that he is reliable I'll believe it. Ange is a very talented ambitious football manager, not the messiah. It's ok to acknowledge he has faults and it's also ok to ge annoyed by those faults.

Exactly isn't his house in Australia up for sale for over a million. He's's hardly going to be needing a crisis loan.

I've been online arranging a square go with Spurs fans at a neutral venue, who'll join me in battle? :boxing:

Although that in and of itself isn't necessarily that impressive. A 1950-60s era fibro house in the western Sydney suburbs will go for AU$750-800k, while a nice place in the eastern suburbs or north shore can easily go for AU$2-3m.

I am actually surprised we got as much compensation for him as we did given he effectively had a year on his deal. That’s if the reporting is accurate. £5m for him and likely at least another 7 figure some to take the backroom team could see it easily between £6-7m. That isn’t that far off the £9m for Rodgers and more than that lot got for Gerard and co.

Hopefully we can get this appointment right and in quick fashion.
